Rooms are not as pictured, extremely small and dated. Bathtubs were stained and facets difficult to shut off. Bed skirts and sashes were not needed, dates the room even more. Bed comfort level is OK but no room to walk around the bed.

Positive: The location was incredible with quick access to Mount Rushmore and nearby restaurants. Negative: It was dingy feeling, shower water only got to about room temperature and had a yellow tint to it, beds were a little rough. Front desk staff at check-in was not real friendly.

TV didn't work, jacuzzi in room didn't work. In the morning at least 20 minutes after 7:00 still no breakfast was available at least 30 people were in line waiting, so we had to go find somewhere else. They got the TV and the jacuzzi working by the second day. Bathtub had some kind of sticky stuff in it so it didn't seem to be the cleanest. There was no table in the room so we couldn't even sit in our own room if we wanted to have dinner in there. All the employees seemed nice but I couldn't understand 90% of them since they didn't speak English. And it was hard to tell them what was going on if they didn't understand me. For the price we paid it really wasn't worth it.

Probably my worst hotel experience in my life. We stayed 2 nights in room 203. The second night my teenage daughter and I were woken up by a male stranger walking into our room after midnight!! Of course I woke up and screamed! Who wouldn’t when a strange man all of a sudden is in your room. He left immediately and after I got myself back together I went to the front desk to report the incident. The front desk work said he was sorry but insisted that the guy had a key card holder with our room number on it but had “lost” his key. He admitted to not verifying that he was actually in that room, blamed it on the guy not speaking English. In the morning (I wanted out of there as fast as I could) I insisted on speaking to the manager and the morning front desk worker finally tracked him down after I refused to leave without bringing the issue to his attention. Of course he knew nothing about the incident until I informed him of it. No surprise that the night desk worker didn’t say anything of his major screw up. The manager only apologized and said he could do nothing else. I don’t think I can ever trust a hotel chain that doesn’t strive to protect there guests.

I do not recall there being a bus. They do have mopeds you can rent though.
There is a really good bagel place with coffee just a bit up the hill on the right side when you're heading towards Mt Rushmore
