Always a nice ride on the ferry to the island. Just pay attention to the '80s and do as you're told as your boarding and exiting the ferry

What a lovely place to explore in Main state,USA. Usually, this place is not much advertised if I am not wrong. Love the nature, lake, greenery, boating, cross lake on ferry boat with sitting in car & after disembarking move around various points in your own car & enjoy aqua blue water in the lake, shoot pics, video & hang around till satisfied. Nice houses within island to rent.

Yes. A lot of people do this. You will need to have some sort of transportation however, when you get to the island.
Yes any pickup will be fine on the ferry will runs every 15 min or half hour depending on the day for a non resident its $35 no reservation needed just show up and wait in the line
Last I knew it was 25-30 per car
