I stopped by for the first time and was basically told I wasn't welcome. You only get one chance at a first impression, and this place blew it. I will NEVER give them an opportunity to work with me again.

Called with basic questions about how appraisals are done—just for fundamental consumer information, as I’ve never had coins evaluated before—and they guy, 10 seconds in, became defensive immediately (as though he were in a longstanding argument I never had with him). He went on about 40 years of experience, wouldn’t let me speak to say what specific information I was concerned about, and mansplained this and that. I simply wanted basic consumer information before I make the drive up there. This guy does not seem to have the temperament of a professional I could trust. Definitely will not go here or recommend it.

What a wonderfully pleasant experience! It was as close to a "Mayberry experience" I've ever had! Joe couldn't have been more professional and accommodating. I met with Warren during my second visit and once again, couldn't have been more pleased. I know nothing about coins nor appraising but knew immediately I had come to the right place. For all I knew, my coins could have been worth absolutely nothing, but both Joe and Warren handled each one as if it had the potential to be priceless. They explained and then further explained if I wanted them to, why the coins were priced as they were and welcomed any phone calls I may have after leaving. I look forward to my next visit and couldn't recommend them more highly. From the receptionist answering the phone, throughout the entire process, 5 stars!!! Julie C. Brookline, NH

I called up and was warmly welcomed by Joe, invited to come in right away or later in the day. I was nervous because coins are not something I know how to evaluate for value. When I arrived Joe walked me through his process and explained how he estimates coin values. He looked over what I brought, separated coins and wrote everything down. I was not pressured to sell my coins but I felt I was given an honest price for what I brought. I sold my coins and I can honestly say I feel I got a very good deal. Fair and honest, all I can ask for and I will return in the future.

Thank you for your interest in our company, but unfortunately we cannot take a look at your coins. The Postal Service restricts us from sending coins to numerous countries. India falls under this category as we are prohibited from sending coins, currency and bullion to India. Because of this, we are unable to help you out. Thanks again for your interest and we’re sorry we couldn’t be of more help. Sincerely, Dave
Good afternoon U KNOW ; I just got to your question because I've been away from my computer for several weeks . There are several tests that can be used to determine authenticity, like the magnet test the weight test and a ping test to name a few . A photo may help to determine condition but the only true way is to have the coin in hand . If you can bring it in , we could do all those tests in a very short time . If you can't do that , take a shot with NGC at lease they'll be able to guaranty it's authenticity even if it has other issues like cleaning . I hope this is helpful . Thanks Dave
Good morning Linda ; we would prefer an appointment . I'd hate to have you pop in and have to wait because we are doing other evaluations . Just give us a call at 1-800-225-7264 (RCNH) we can set a time that works for you . Thanks for your interest in our company .... Dave Carleton
Good morning Paula; thank you for your interest in our company . Yes, we do free appraisals of all U.S. coins. The only thing that I would ask is that you make an appointment . I'd hate to have you pop in only to find my numismatists already involved in evaluating other collections . Thanks again and I hope we get to see your coins . Dave Carleton
I have been in multiple times to have coins graded and appraised they are great people and will tell you exactly what you have and the value of coins. Would highly recommend calling to set an appointment up with them
I'm not sure when you asked this question Mr. Cullity but if you'd give me a call , I'll probably be able to give you a sight unseen value for the coins you acquired a few years ago . Thanks Dave Carleton
We are not typically open on Saturdays, but if you call or email us during the week, we might be able to set up a Saturday appointment for you.
