Sweet beach a short 1/4 mile hike away. A decent amount of horse groups travel this way so be ready for that. Campground host Erick was super friendly and helpful. Need more like him!

TICKS! We did a short walk along the Berry Creek trail north out of the campground. Dogs are not allowed on the beach this time of the year (April) so decided on that trail. We picked multiple ticks off the dog and ourselves after this hike. Wouldn't recommend.

There are picnic tables and firepits in the day use area also...the camp hosts are very nice and I am sure they wouldn't mind you using an unoccupied space for lunch...I go here a lot one of my favorite spots
The Baker Beach Trailhead has historically been a Forest Service equestrian staging and day-use area. There is a five-site campground attached to the area and is now managed by a concessionaire. If folks want to park in the day-use area for overnight "sand camping," the same fees apply as day-use. But leave a note, so the manager doesn't call in Search and Rescue! 😉
