Uodate - Though my first visit to Exeter Handkerchief Co was so positive with warm and friendly staff, the rudeness of the man at the store during my recent visit means I will not return. First review - Great spot for fabric. The third floor is a bargain filled with remnants for $9 a yard - $6 on Tuesdays. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The location at the train station can make parking a challenge but there is plenty of parking out back.

We found a representative on the floor with the upholstery fabrics incredibly rude. He met us and the first thing he wanted to know was if we were buying from them or just looking. We found this odd because how do know if you find something to your liking if you're not given a chance to look We reported this difficulty to the president of the United Fabrics immediately. We will be sure to let our decorator and her clients know to go elsewhere! One star is one too many!

The Exeter Handkerchief Company is a true find. The fabrics on the first two floors are arranged in attractive vignettes, making it very easy to look for materials, especially those that coordinate well. But if you're more of the type that like to "hunt" for your perfect material, the third floor houses remnant bolts of fabric. Everyone I have worked with is fantastic and is great about helping you figure out exactly how much fabric you need. I will keep coming back for sure!
