I’m a new provider and have been on hold for 90 min. It transferred to another line and now I just hear silence. It happened at 1:00, I think they all went to lunch and left me hanging. No other way to contact them. They said my claims were incorrect but they are accepted at every other insurance Company in California.

Customer service is terrible! I have left messages for Vanna to return my calls twice and I haven’t heard from her Today after I was on hold for over an hour, I finally got to speak with a rep who was going to look into my issue. That call was disconnected. I called back and got to talk with a rep named Wendy who seemed to be helpful, she was going to connect me with Vanna even though she had not returned my prior messages. Wendy said she would check if she could connect with Vanna and if she couldn’t she would get back to me. She never did. Why cant I get the help I need?

I have been a member for about six years plus. Over the years it has gotten worse and worse. You can break your leg and still can’t see orthopedic doctor. They’re only concerned about the bond in line and for them it’s money. I had had two injuries one is nine months old and one is over six months old and I need to see this doctor for both and my General practitioner has been putting it off and putting it off. These are not the only two cases that I’m complaining about. It’s just example. Next year I’m changing insurance companies. The only reason I gave them two stars is that they haven’t killed me yet.

I don’t think so. We can see our doctors unlimited times when we need to. My SCAN plan is classic HMO and I haven’t had any problems to see the doctors when I need them. But as HMO, I need to get referrals and approvals when I need to see Specialists.

Hi Roque, No referrals are needed to make use of your vision and dental benefits. Just be sure to see a vision provider with EyeMed and a dentist who's part of your Delta Dental network. Of course, for a medical eye problem (cataracts, etc.) you would go to your primary care doctor because you may need a referral to a medical eye specialist, such as an ophthalmologist. SCAN has a set amount and vendors they deal with. That amount covers cost of some. Others you will owe a balance. SCAN is great at answering these questions directly. According to their site as of mar 2020 coverage for mist aids from TruHearing has a copay of 450 to 750 per aid
