They don't care about the people, they care about the money. Horrible place.

This court is deplorable, and extremely extremely racist and prejudicial. I am a student at Woodbury University, (Burbank), and after receiving my class schedule almost a month prior to court for a 280$ traffic ticket, I came to the realization that I had a 5 unit class at the same time and date as the appearance for the ticket. I called to the Glendale court to try and change the date, but nobody answered (which is highly unethical, as is everything about this courthouse right in the middle of Yerevan). After getting no answer I drove up to the court and went to the traffic cashier trying to change the date. The lady at the desk told me, “We can’t change the court dates, we only change them for lawyers”. This is extremely unconstitutional to try and force civilians to either pay for a lawyer or to pay the ticket. No one should need a lawyer for a traffic ticket. I appeared in front of Judge Gomez for arraignment on the 280$ dollar ticket. Almost all of the other court goers were Armenian ethnicity and they were greeted by a warm “barev, inch speces”, by Judge Gomez’s clerk (which I was not offered any such greeting in English or any other language). I saw Judge Gomez do 5 personal favors for his Armenian clerk, by setting their trial dates to times and dates that they were available. I explained to the judge that I was on a presidential scholarship and needed to maintain a full time schedule or risk losing my scholarship. Nonetheless, Judge Gomez argues with me for 30 minutes because I explained to him that Wednesday was the only day that I could come in for trial at 9AM. He told me that he couldn’t schedule it on a Wednesday. From bottom to top this court is racist, nonsensical, and prejudicial. I actually live in Glendale, and am engaged to a beautiful Armenian woman. The information I am giving has nothing to do with the awesome civilians in Glendale. It is strictly having to do with the dirty racist Glendale courthouse and police Another incident in this court house was even worse than the ticket ordeal. I am a plaintiff in a District Court, civil lawsuit for copyright infringement. One of the 10 defendants i am suing is an Armenian from Alhambra. After learning of my lawsuit the Armenian from Alhambra went to Glendale PD to claim I threatened him via mobile phone. The racist cops and court in Glendale immediately took his false claim seriously, just because his name ends with -ian (Bagatourian). I had enough evidence in my files to prove that he was lying just to try and jeapordize my lawsuit. The court sent me a notice that I had to appear for an administrative hearing, never having interviewed me or questioned me at all (and keep in mind I live in Glendale and he doesn’t.) I ended up having to spend 1500$ on a lawyer just to keep my winning district court case from being in jeapordy. Of course with the lawyers help the false claims of electronic threats was dismissed. But I just wanted to use that also as an example of how deplorable and extremely racist the Glendale local court system is. If you’re not Haykakan (Armenian). Don’t even look the wrong way in Glendale because those in charge who are Armenian only show mercy on their own kind. No matter how important I am to their community. Or how much I love their people and history. It seems they only give breaks to their own. It’s a sad thing to become what you hate the most. And it’s sad to say that the Armenians running the court in Glendale have become what they despised the most back home.

City Clerk's office employees are disrespectful and very rude. They seem to think they are above everyone that comes in. They need training in how to communicate with the public. 1 star is too generous of a rating.

We have a court date of Feb 9. I wanted to know if this is virtual or in-person which I don't want to do.

You come in person if you need to get copies or file something. Of course each Courthouse has a drop box and retrieval box in front. If you are a litigant who has a hearing , the Court is strongly encouraging remote appearances by phone or video.
