The Van Nuys State Office Building is the State of California's office building for the San Fernando Valley. The four stories contain the local offices of elected officials and services for city residents. The uniquely designed building is a large open patio which is protected from the sun and rain buy a translucent roof. The building contains a small coffee shop, a small multi-use room and a multi-level parking garage. Everything is wheelchair-accessible, although code is required for entrance into the bathrooms. The garage charges a $10 flat fee after one hour parking.
