I used to go to Life Time San Clemente and loved it. However I recently moved to Laguna Niguel so thought I’d try the one here and keep my membership as it was close by. I signed up for 4 personal training sessions and paid up front. On my way downstairs I thought I would pop in and book a facial appt. I went to the locker room to grab my phone to get my schedule. As I approached the spa front desk I noticed a really strong chemical smell and immediately my eyes started burning. I saw the spa attendant had been using a cleaner right before I approached. I told her my eyes were burning and that I was having a reaction to the cleaner and she grabbed me water and tissues to splash my eyes with. After gaining my composure I went home only to get terrible body aches throughout the night and felt very ill the next day. Sick enough to have to call out of work. I had to cancel the facial and personal training session I had that day due to the reaction. After 48 hours I went back in and asked to see the cleaner so I could take to my doctor to see why I had such a bad reaction. The cleaner clearly states: DANGER! Do not get near eyes or skin etc. Come to find out from the GM Barry Stevens, the spa attendant was cleaning the white board with it and the gym uses this cleaner a couple times a day to clean the equipment. They had the video of what happened and he said I came in contact with the cleaner at about 30 seconds after being sprayed. I was kind of gaslit about my experience and so I asked to cancel my membership. The GM said we usually require a 30 day notice to cancel but in your case we will do you a favor and cancel the next day. Wow! I obviously know that’s there policy but he had to make it a point he was doing me a favor. They owed me $600 for the personal trainings I never got to take and have only credited me back $450 thus far! I just left Another message to receive my remaining $150 with the GM. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM! They use 3M Sharp Shooter heavy duty mark remover to clean their gym equipment ! If you see them cleaning with this do not come in close contact!!!!

While the equipment is ok, the service quality and the staff's demeanor make this place truly outstanding - in a bad way. The outside pool staff is consistently rude, complicated by ever-changing rules to maximize profit. You want to sit in one of the lounge chairs with your family? Nope! They are now reserved for VIP customers willing to pay a couple 100 dollars to rent them - surprisingly nobody does and they are 99% empty. You want to bring some food for your kids? Nope! You now have to buy their cafe's food, whether you like it or not! And hurry up, because the cafe is only open a few hours. Outside their time? Who cares!?! If you want to come there to have a good time with your family, look elsewhere. If you want to have a workout, look elsewhere. Or ask yourself: Why should I pay premium, if all I get is bad service, ever-changing rules reducing what you payed for, rude staff and standard equipment.

I love this gym, my kids love it too. great place for the family. only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the showers really need to be updated, the tile is very old and must of the time smells bad.

Walked in a took a tour never imagined how big and how much it has to offer. I honestly would've signed up if I didn't live so far. Basketball court, pools, daycare, sauna, massages, rock climbing, yoga , pilates and the list continues. An athletic resort indeed I would love to live in it lol

I believe they do have Zumba. Lifetime has an app that if you download will provide you class and timing information for any location.
It is estimated to open in June. You can call the Laguna Niguel location to learn more including when presale starts.
What do you mean silver Snickers?
Depends on size of family. Single person price is around$150
