I went here during a week day around at 2:30. There was no wait at all. People working here were very polite, hard working and organized. They accept all kind of old electronics, hazardous chemicals, paint etc which you can’t put in to garbage or recycle containers. They also accept used needles and injectors as long as they are put in a hazardous waste container or laundry detergent/fabric softener bottle.

Great and convenient place to drop off all electronics, tv, computers, etc. You don't have to get off the car. They will unload for you.

We use this facility infrequently for extra paints, old light bulbs, empty aerosol cans etc. It is very easy to get to and even if there is a lone of cars to get in the wait is not more than 10 to 15 minutes. Compared to the freeway traffic it is actually fast! The personnel are friendly and efficient. This is a great service for Irvine residents.

Came by to drop off some e-waste. Stopped by to see what they had available in the exchange area. I found a couple of things I could use. You never know what you will find but you can get lucky. The guys working are super friendly and drop off was quick and easy

A maximum of 15 gallons or 125 pounds may be transported per vehicle, per trip (Department of Transportation Requirement). It is illegal to exceed these limits. Containers larger than five gallons will not be accepted. Containers will NOT be returned, except for oil containers, upon request. Materials should be in original containers (except motor oil, fuels and antifreeze). A All containers must have lids, be sturdy, non-leaking, labeled and protected from breakage. Do not combine different types of waste. Do not mix oil-based paint with latex paint. Empty containers with lids removed can be discarded in trash.
It is free to household in orange county.
Colors are random and selection varys constantly
Yes we do we will have to keep the container that it is in.
They will, as long as it's from an OC resident.
No, the to Ortega landfill
yes
This is not on their list of usually accepted items because it is not considered a hazardous waste. Orange County Rescue Mission is in need of baby and child items - they will give you a tax write off slip.
If electric then yes if not, no. If it works, best to give for free on Craigslist free section to. Someone who could use it
Yes - they do
You, but if you post on the free section of Craigslist, someone may get to use them
Yes, you can.
If it is working post on the free section on Craigslist. If not working bring it here
Please bring it to them, they will dispose or recycle as necessary. They will take E-waste (electronic waste).
Yes they will take those items, they are considered E-Waste. Even if the device still works, it won't be reused again only recycled. Here's a link (scroll to the bottom) of what they take: http://www.oclandfills.com/hazardous
Yes they do,
Paint, oils, medicine and chemicals should NOT be dumped down amy drain/sink/toilet, gutter/stormdrain, or hole in the ground - it will eventual contaminate our water table and drinking water. Our waste water system cannot remove everything and dumping can tax the system too much. We are a toilet to tap system - so whatever you put down the drain can easily affect anyone downstream.
Yes we keep the container that it is in though
They do, in a sealed plastic container that is identified properly, preferably the original container. They keep the container. Nothing over 15 gal or 125lbs.
Yes any size
Yes. If they contain something other than the intended contents, you are required by law to let them know.
Yes they take medications (pills, creams, liquids) and sharps as well.
Yes.
Yes.
They don't take scrap metal. Only household chemicals and consumer electronics
No, they won't. This site is for residents to properly dispose of their household hazardous waste.

As an Orange County resident you can visit any of the four OC locations.

Yes, they accept camping propane canisters.
No
Yes they accept computers and all other kinds of electronics.
No only hazardous waste items liquid, powder or Electronics
Yes they accept injection needles as long as they are put in a sharps container sold in some pharmacies or a fabric softener / laundry detergent thick plastic bottle with proper cap on it. I don’t know if they accept expired medicine but as they accept expired sun lotion and all sorts of paint etc hazardous chemicals, expired medicine should not be a problem. I put my expired medicine at albertsons pharmacy expired medicine containers.
Yes
No you need to be a resident of Orange County.
Only electric ones
That should, but best bet is to bring them to them instead of asking a map
As long as they are not longer than 8 ft long. And bringing more than 20 at a time may be viewed as a Business.
Yes they do but if the printers working why have it end up in a landfill when someone else could use it you can post free ads on craigslist in people would respond to get it
No they do not take construction materials. I'm sure you can donate them to habitat for Humanity.
Don't know but Office Depot does.
It would be wise to get there earlier in the day as the line increases dramatically after about 1030am. Say from 1 or 2 cars to over a dozen. Takes too long if you go in the afternoon. The line is down the street!😬
It's for residential only, but I've know people that have taken a couple laptops or desktops there and a couple monitors.
I'm not sure that a BBQ is considered Hazardous Waste, so probably not...
This Saturday I dropped off a microwave for recycle and it was accepted.
Yes
I dropped off a pole lamp, fan, and tv there
I don't think so unless CDs are now considered hazardous.
Yes
No, they don't... you have a few options, take it to the OC waste drop off (byebyemattress.com), ask waste management for a bulk pickup, or just call a junk hauling service. I did the last option, paid $40 https://ecojunkhauling.com/
No. They are not hazardous (unless it is Acid Rock).
No
No. Put them on Free in Craigslist
I believe so
Yes
No. Go to byebyemattress.com for recycle

They should
Yes. They have a container you can drop them into. No need to sort.
Yes they do.
"they" accept tvs
Yes to all three. This is a hazardous waste disposal. There’s four of them in OC and as long as you are an OC resident, you can drop them off.
If it’s reusable and it’s full, you can sell it on offerup or craigslist. Somebody’s always looking for free gas. If you can’t do that, they will take it.
Yes. They have electronics recycling for things like tv's, computers, printers, etc.
Yes they take electronics
Don't think so since they're not considered "hazardous".
Negative
yes, up to 5 gallon tanks
They will accept batteries, but they don't have them to give out.
No, they won't. Treated wood is trash. I recommend calling your trash hauler to see if you can put it in your bin. If not, you will need to take it to the landfill or a material recovery facility.
No , but a magician acquaintance of Aladdin will trade some old lamps for new ones. But that was just a story I heard. I normally just give away my lamps on Craigslist if they're working
No unfortunately they don't.
They do and you are asking a. Map
You can hand them over; they don't need to be in your trunk for disposal. Thank you.
Yes THEY do. This is a map, not a company's website
Please do not mix transmission fluid with oil and do not put transmission fluid in oil containers it will contaminate the oil making it unusable for other purpouses
Yes they do as long as it's in a puncture proof container
Sorry, no they do not take appliances except tv's and microwaves. Call your trash company for bulky item pickup
As long as not from a business
No, they only take residential waste related products, not business
They will accept microwaves from residents here. They will not take it at the dump. It's considered e-waste.
Music and VHS tapes are not considered hazardous and won't be accepted here.
The center is closed on Sundays and Mondays. For holiday schedules check OC landfill. Com
Yes. As long as you are an OC resident. Limit of 15 gallons per trip.
