I want to start by thanking Ryan Beall (amazing Community staff!). I was touring a 1bedroom floor plan, and loved it. It had a huge backyard, and a very warm, cozy feel to the community. Being from the North East, this community definitely raised the bar. I want thank Ryan again, and look forward to calling this place my new home!

We've been here for 2 years now, can't think of anything anything to really brag about. 1. ROACHES! Our family is clean, but as you know, that doesn't matter when living in apartments. Of course, we've reported the problem, several times. Each time we've had to wait weeks for pest control to come out, however, the kitchen must be completely emptied before they spray. As you can imagine, it's a lot of work and no assistance is offered. We've spent our own money on roach killing products that are not refunded. Additionally, I bought two large freestanding cabinets to store our dishes and food in, in an attempt to keep from roaches crawling on them; And we keep the kitchen light on overnight (roaches don't like the light). So, the problem is continually costing us money. 2. The rent is high and the accommodations are old. There's nothing wrong with making a profit as a business, but it truly feels as if they only do just enough to pacify the tenants, not enough for an enjoyable living experience. 3. Our one assigned parking space is far from our apartment, making it difficult to carry items and keep an eye on our car. Another tenant hit our car without leaving their information (I guess it's too much to ask for honesty & honor), leaving us to replace the entire rear light housing. There's no cameras and management claims no responsibility. I have enough complaints to continue, but I digress. On a positive note, dealing with David, the one and only maintenance man, has always been a pleasant experience. Up until a few weeks ago, the manager was a nightmare to deal with. She was arrogant, rude, lazy and a bigot. I've heard others complain about her, but she seemed particularly bothered with us being Muslims. So, as you can imagine, living in a place you feel discriminated against wasn't the nicest feeling. But at last, she's out and Ryan came in. I've only met with him once, but he seems professional, friendly, and genuine when discussing our concerns. If my first impressions are correct, perhaps a positive change will come. For the sake of the tenants, I certainly hope that they are diligently working on making this a better place to live. Across the web, Montejo Apartments receive very poor reviews. Consistency in this instance is very bad for business.

its OK been here for 3 years. rent is ridicules and over priced but its the only place we can go with our dogs. had my car stolen from my car port, motorcycle vandalized and pushed over in the car port. there has been fellow Tennant's that have had there vehicles stolen as well, had a car in the back get smashed by a hit and run in there carport took out the wall between carports . management says they can't put in cameras but won't say why. the drive up gate half the time is wide open due to the fire department unlocking it and opening it and not closing it (no fires here just paramedic run). management doesn't close it for 3-4 days. hard to see anything when driving out of the exit gate. aside from that its quiet. kids playing in the summer months can't fault them its only has 2 court yards to play in the pool is big and is hardly used. rent increases the last 5 years have only been about 40 bucks each. one gripe i have recently is feral cats in the parking area some one keeps feeding them and wont stop animal control has apparently been called 2 times but the cats are still an issue spraying and the shear numbers is ridicules .
