Worked with these guys on a relatively small matter, but writing this review, as my feeling is if they deal with a customer this well on a smaller item, the experience more than likely carries over to larger issues. Stopped in The Dalles on a drive across the state. Stayed in hotel right behind dealership. Started to get a message on my car dash that my key fob wasn't recognized. I called Tonkin, asked for service, and got directed to Jeff's (GM Service) phone. He wasn't available, and I didn't leave a message, figuring I'd try him back later. Within ten minutes, I got a message back on my phone, from Jeff, stating that he was following up and that I should call him back. I called back, explained what I thought was going on, and he directed me to come in and go to the parts counter. I arrived a few minutes later. The sales person who greeted me in the lot was very friendly, and walked me back to the parts counter. Tom, who was working the parts counter, immediately dropped what he was doing, tested my key fob, replaced the battery, and made sure it was good to go. So in the end, it was a key fob battery change. That said, the attention to detail by everyone involved in the process, coupled with the efficiency of the resolution, should be commended. All of that is not standard practice at most car dealerships. Thanks all!
