We have a 2018 Terrain. We are traveling from Portland to Nebraska and just learned today that we need chains to go over the mountains. We also just learned that chains are not recommended for our vehicle. Do you have any suggestions.

You aren't required to use them just carry them...unless I'm mistaken. Also they aren't needed if you have mountain and snow tires

I have no idea I have never had to use chains on my Subaru. Call a dealership and ask
