If I could rate this place with negative stars, I would. It was awful. Several years ago Dr. Stone misdiagnosed my dog and said they ruled out pyo. Then lied to us saying they didn’t rule it out and told us we needed to rule it out with our vet. They are an emergency vet and couldn’t even tell that my dog had pyo… she had almost died and had to be hospitalized for a week with my vet. Thankfully we took her the day after this visit, otherwise, she would have been dead. Fast forward to today, I brought a different dog in today because she was vomiting and wouldn’t walk. Her gums were pale and she was drooling excessively. There were no other emergency vets in the area, so I had no choice but to bring my dog here. Dr. Stone was cold. By the time we got there, my dog was acting better and was able to walk with no problem. Was even excited to see the people and other dogs. We tried explaining what happened and Dr. Stone was trying to correct us on something she wasn’t even there for. She took X-rays and gave her fluids. They gave us an estimate and charged us much more and didn’t even include a couple of things on the estimate that she told us she was going to do from the beginning. What’s the point of giving an estimate if it’s going to be way off? While giving her fluids, we heard them yelling at my dog to behave down the hall and they had her muzzled!!!! My dog did not show one sign of aggression and would never even hurt a fly. I understand they were just trying to take precaution, but she showed no sign of aggression. She’s a puppy! They brought her back out with blood still coming out of her shoulders where they injected the fluids and anti nausea medication. I am beyond upset and under no circumstances will I ever bring her or any of my future dogs back there.

I really didnt think our cat Socks would servive the night, but I took her to Animal Emergency of Hernando anyway. The staff was excellent. As soon as they saw that Socks (within about 4 minutes of my arrival) was barely responsive they took her in the back to see what they were up against. Dr. Stone came out to dicuss Socks' condition. She said they would do everything they could, but Socks was in critical condition and she couldn't make any promises. I left thinking the worst. About an hour later Dr. Stone called me personnally and said that Socks was stable but not out of the woods yet. My family and I were greatful for the followup as it gave us a little bit of hope. The next morning my family and I went back and didn't wait long maybe 10 minutes. They brought us to a private room and brought Socks in. Socks had energy and was looking so much better. Dr. Stone came in and gave us an update with the next steps. She really cares. Socks needed a blood transfusion and the donor was Dr. Stone's own cat. Socks still has a ways to go, but because of Dr. Stone and her Team she has a chance. My family and I can't thank them enough. Update: Picked up Socks today Saturday 6-19-22. She is alert, and acting like her normal self. Animal Emergency of Hernando Inc is a special place. Everyone was fantastic. This place is special because they care. I highly recommend them!!! Update: 7-4-22 our Beautiful Socks finally succumbed to her anemic challenges. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Stone and her facility. They did everytjing they could to keep her alive. I only wish they saw our precious fury loved ones in a non emergency setting. Thank you for your help and your compassion.

My dog, Caesar, was treated today by this office and I can confidently say this was the best vet experience we have ever had! Caesar was very scared from a previous traumatic experience at another vet office to the point of aggression. The techs made several suggestions to ensure he got the care that he needed safely and professionally. These girls and doctor were extrememely patient and kind with us, both being quite nervous about the visit. We left feeling at ease, and with a tail wagging with relief. Thank you to all the staff at this emergency vet office, top tier service to say the least!

My Noel is special needs/elderly and has had to go here several times recently due to a variety of serious health issues. Each time I felt like the vet and the techs have listened to me and made me part of her treatment. They would come in the room with me to give Noel fluids which was much less stressful than taking her in the back. It is a relief to know that in the middle of the night, if Noel starts struggling and it’s over my head, I know that I can drive 20 minutes and get her help. There are times when she’s struggling and it’s very scary. It helps Noel and I to have somewhere to turn when she’s having a rough time. All the overnights you guys work are worth it. You are saving lives. You saved my girl on a couple occasions. She’s my life. She’s my soulmate. I don’t know what I would do without her. Noel and I thank you for all that you do. 💜

Take her her to Animal Emergency of Hernando They are so professional, prices are reasonable and they will care for her on the spot...
My cat was only a patient for critical care... I am not sure, but awesome animal care is their job!!!
Yes it is open 24 hours
Yes they do but you will have to call them for the fees
Depends on weight,if you want the little dog house with the ashes, etc. For my 50lb Lab mix, didn't get the ashes,it was right about 200 bucks. Very friendly, caring, compassionate staff
It would be much cheaper to go to a groomer. Since they are an emergency hospital they would charge you emergency rates.
Not sure but I think so!
They are very compassionate people,in my opinion, they might be able to help you if you can work it out with them
