I brought my elderly mother in law to the center for an eye exam. She is hard of hearing and has some cognitive issues, which means she can be difficult to help and requires some patience to examine. Both the tech (I am so sorry I didn't get her name!) and Dr. Hubble were fantastic! They were patient and very kind, treating my mother in law with respect and speaking loudly to explain things in clear and simple terms without being condescending. I HIGHLY recommend Genstler Eye Center to anyone who is looking for comprehensive and compassionate care. If you are in the same situation as I am, you will understand how rare that is!

Enjoyed my first experience! I'm from the Portland area and while I was in the Albany for a few weeks I decided to stop in to buy some much needed new frames. The moment I walked in the doors, I felt at home. The staff were incredibly nice, they were knowledgable and very helpful. Dr. Genstler was especially amazing! He was professional and addressed all my concerns. I left there with a new pair of glasses, and they even fixed my old pair! Even though I live in the Portland area, I'm definitely coming back for any eye care for me and my family..

Horrible experience with extremely rude, uncaring office staff and the inexperienced Dr. Bagga. Though she was nice during appointment, she didn't know how to put an existing prism problem into my prescription, so she tried to convince me I didn't have one. So when I had glasses made I couldn't see properly. The terrible office staff (led by Gina) refused to return my calls over several weeks, and when I called again (trying several times to get help and being rebuffed each time), they refused to reschedule me to fix the prescription. When I said I'd be submitting complaints against them they didn't even care. For an office which has Christian pictures on its walls, I was treated in a very unChristian manner. If Dr. Gentsler knew what was going on in the office which bears his name, I'm sure he'd be shocked.

Over the years I have had vision exams and a foreign body removed. I have always been happy with the eye care I have received. The optical is also great. I don’t wear prescription glasses, but I have to wear safety glasses most of the time at work. The opticians in the optical helped me find two pairs of really nice safety rates glasses. They also adjusted them to fit me just right. Now I have safety glasses that are comfortable and I actually enjoy wearing! I couldn’t be happier with them and highly recommend Genstler Eye Center.
