This is a smaller library, but still offers great selection and adequate workspace. Very quiet and clean with unique architectural design. Free computers for card holding members w/ 1hr timer that can be reset if no ones waiting. The librarians have all been friendly and helpful. They speak in very soft voices to maintain the quiet focus-ready environment many seek when they visit the library. I forsee I'll be coming here to study quite a bit. Compared to the Balboa Library, which was loud, cramped, and packed full of people, this Library is heavenly. There is an outdoor courtyard with beautiful flora if you like studying and reading outdoors. All in all I couldn't imagine a better first impression from a public library. Included is a list of all the library's you gain access to when you sign up for a free library card.

Warning: this library does not service the public. They harass the less fortunate to the point that these individuals are forced to leave and are denied the same access to the library's resources that everyone else can welcomingly use. The manager and staff support the maltreatment of the homeless in order to keep an image and deny any responsibly for their actions. When confronted, Jeffrey Davis had no response and could only tremble from anxiety after refusing to believe his staff was bias and unfair toward the homeless who have advocated for themselves.

I spent two hours here applying for jobs. It was quiet, no homeless, the bathrooms can be updated but I had a really good experience! In fact it's large that I got lost going to the restroom.

This lil library really needs an overhaul, we practically live here though, my kids like to go here and they usually run into friends or make new ones. during school hours they have free tutors to help kids with homework. They have a good selection of DVDs.(although last week there was a very RR(X?) rated gay mens video on the shelf! I gave it to the manager and he was surprised! Down side, a lot of homeless people, sometimes they take over the bathrooms or eat and drink 'loudly' right next to you on the computers or at the table. I am not sure why anyone is allowed to eat and drink in a library? and there are usually a lot of teens hanging in the parking lot smoking pot and drinking out of brown bags. when the cops come they run through the library. Security does nothing but looks at his phone all day. They do have a good selection of books to buy and the staff is really nice and helpful.

Not to public
No, just a printer you can print up documents once you get a copy card and load money on it. I'd suggest going to the nearby FedEx Kinko's at Hazard Center that's five minutes away if you need to use a scanner.
Yes but it will cost you
I don't know, but you can easily find books by signing up for online access to search the entire database. Even if a book you want is at another library in the system you can get it sent to your library.
Yes, the Linda Vista Library accepts most books and magazines, including the books and magazines you mentioned.
