The OB branch is very quaint! I’m happy I can finally put items on hold and pick them up locally (during Covid we had to venture up to the Point Loma branch, which is also very nice). Their book selection is small but does the job. The library staff is very friendly and helpful. You really can’t beat the location, either. Grateful to have this branch of SDPL in Ocean Beach!

Small place but amazing people....especially the security guard..instead of harrasing homeless he's friendly and helpful....great programs for kids. Would highly recommend visiting if in the area. And dont forget to say hi to the security guard 💂.

Was passing through and needed a charge. The staff are really friendly and boy-o-boy that security guard is the MOST HELPFUL person I've met in california so far! He was so friendly and full of advice. It is smaller and busy but everyone does their own thing. Pretty chill environment and a really purdy city! Thank you!

Yes, you can. Same procedure as all San Diego Public Libraries: You will need a print card. 20¢ per page. Black & White prints only.
If you still have the books, call the library and ask. Are the books in at least good condition? Age of the books makes a difference. Subject makes a difference. Twenty year old moldy textbook? No. Last year's bestseller in excellent condition? Yes.
