Bottom line up front: the lumber price boom seems to have had little impact on this business, as the pieces I bought today were in the same realm as pieces purchased several months earlier. They have an excellent selection of well-labeled hardwoods, slabs, and construction materials. They also offer several brands of tools, notably, Festool. They do have some Festool products in stock, but are in the same boat as all Festool dealers in regards to shortages, etc. That said, the sales rep seemed to have a good handle on when products would be in stock, and knew a bit of the "corporate why" as to the reason behind tool shortages. Overall, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and offered more than competitive pricing on all products.

Great customer service and by far the largest selection of lumber in San Diego. Great selection of rare and specialty woods at fair prices. I purchased some beautiful figured maple from them, and I have yet to find anywhere else that carries such beautiful wood. One note of caution: I would not have them cut a piece of wood down for you. They cut my finely planed piece of figured maple like it was low grade rough lumber, and they badly splintered the wood grain at the cut. Being a lumber specialty store, you’d think the employees would know how to make a clean cut. Guess not.

Lovely lumber, but no help from four different staff members! Even when direct questions asked. ( " Where is your veneer?" Did not seem too much in my opinion) Roamed around. No pricing. No one came to offer help. You know who helped... Another customer! So go with someone who's familiar with the place

Fantastic selection of wood. Prices seem fair. Limited types of scrap available - couldn’t find any red oak. I suppose it’s all about the timing. Staff is very nice but limited help out on the floor.
