What an awesome area! It’s a must see, even if you are just passing through like I was. In winter the road can be a challenge- AWD is a must. It was -8 degrees so I didn’t try any climbing.

Great place to camp and go hiking or rock climbing. Easy to access. Firepits. Fishing close by. Outhouse available.

Great place for camping! I was there for the second time this August. Has great night skies to see milky way and persieds meteor shower. Can't beat the price at $10 a night. You must self register. The campground is much larger than I had originally thought. We stayed in an area where we were the only ones around. You can chill and watch the rock climbers on the massive rock formations that surround the campground. You can explore the many trails that wind around the area.

This is one of my favorite camping areas in all of Wyoming. Placed just outside of Laramie, WY, and has some of the wildest rock formations and climbing around (mostly trad/bouldering) - beta can be found on Mountain Project. Also, the camping is cheap ($10/night for a site) and is self-service pay. I highly recommend this area, especially if you want to see some gorgeous night skies and wildlife.

There is SOME fishing in the nearby streams and beaver ponds...although not many fish, and mostly brook trout.
It's national forest, so there is nothing stopping you from camping there. But if I remember correctly the gates are closed this time of year and they don't do any snow removal so you will have to pack in. You should call the local forest service office for more detailed information. (307) 745-2300
If you really wanted to yes, it's only 5 bucks a night tho. Its a self serve station so I'm sure people do it all the time
I get really good reception on TMobile
