The campground host Jim was available, on top of everything, organized, and very nice! We loved our site spot. It was clean, quiet, and our site felt secluded. The flies were pretty nuts, but it wasn't anything that we wouldn't come back to. GREAT area, and very enjoyable.

Due to a previous landslide and construction, we found camping and hiking were closed. The lake has wetland properties & not much of a beach, if interested in swimming. We found a small overhang & jumped in.

This place is amazing! We found it by accident on our way to Devils Tower and it was a great highlight of our trip. It was a little expensive at $25 per night. There is 10 miles of dirt road leading to it, but you won’t drive through prettier countryside anywhere else and the road was well maintained. I am not giving a full 5 stars because the campground host had THE LOUDEST generator that we could easily hear across the lake and up the hill at our campsite. He also was not very friendly and his dog barked constantly.

If you are willing to travel 20 miles on gravel roads you will be rewarded with a quiet, and secluded campground. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful with a great trail that travels around the surrounding hills.
