Attended the rodeo for the first time. Very impressed with the Native Dances and their beadwork was awesome. It was horribly hot, almost unbearable. Considering how big this event is, I was surprised that the accomodations for the attendees was so lacking. Didn't see one First Aid Station; and there were over 8 thousand people present! The portapoties were in the direct sun, hotter than Hades and stunk to high heaven. When my husband came out he was swooning! Combination of heat and methane is a bad mixture. It took him awhile to recover. At the end, 8 thousand people were on the move..no exit signs, no lighting for pedestrians, no groundsmen,...nothing. Very dangerous for everyone. The actual event was awesome... accomodations were sorely lacking.

Pretty quiet except for Stampede and if theres a Wildfire. DNR sets up their command center there when sh*# hits the fan. This year was devastating. Photos are from 9/6-9/8/2020 The Cold Springs Fire that I personally took with my iPhone XR. Thank you to DNR as well as WADOC Inmates who helped get this devastating fire under control and eventually extinguished. * These are copy written so please do not attempt to unlawfully use my photos*

No. There is no free camping here. TENTS OVERNIGHT last I saw were about 18 bucks a night. Give or take a few bucks. Nice bathrooms are on site with showers and toilets are included plus wifi. RV and CAMP/TRAVEL TRAILERS about 30 a night with full hook ups and acsses to the bathrooms and showers. Wifi is included

Packed. Once stampede hits the park gets crowded pretty quick.
Yes you need a lic. To fish, you can get it at the office at rhw front of rhe stampede complex.
Yes there is covered areas. And don't know if you need to reserve them. But I'm sure you do.
