I love coming here. Though it is an active logging area so sometimes it looks a bit depressing when all the trees are cut. The trails range from easy to difficult, and I enjoy doing all types. I recommend the difficult trails to be experienced drivers off road.

Great place to off-road with wide ranging degrees of difficulty. Suitable for motorcycles, atv, utv, 4x4 trucks, etc.

Had a blast this weekend! Lots of pretty places to see! My fav trails to ride are #8, #9 and military #43.. beautiful nature, huge trees, fun and sometimes dangerous trails, but really good place to camp and ride on your ATV. Great camp sites, clean restrooms, pretty little river on the site! Nice to spend time with family or friends! Love this place and would definitely go there again.

Yes.
Yes. In the main staging area there is plenty of room, as well as multiple other places.
If you camp in the gravel pit
From what I was hearing it should be alright. There is a Facebook page that has updates .
Camping outside on the camp ground is open year round The opening day for the campground depends on snow fall and winter damage that gas to be repaired call the Oregon Department Of Forestry in Forest Grove
In a designated campground the fee is $15 per night they have pit toilets and fire pits You can came in the forest but as of this date the fire ban IS on so NO fires even for cooking and as always what you pack in you MUST pack out My parents always told me to leave a place cleaner than you found it this would be a great thing to pass on this means spent gun shells as well
No service at the camp, but I did find service at the higher elevation trails (I have Verizon)
It's first come first served
Yes, all except the single group site.
A lot of people go there but I have shown up on Friday and got a spot,we also have a toy hauler.also there is a big gravel area that cost nothing to stay at.
Yes I believe it is open now for riding on trails
We camped at Browns Camp the 24th of July. Campfires were allowed but ONLY IN in DESIGNATED AREAS. Trails were off limits. Riding limited to gravel roads only.
There is a allot of trails. Any gravel road you take off on with have trails that shoot off with signs saying what types of vehicles are allowed
Open Season is April-October at Browns Camp, though you will find people there nearly year round for day-use OHV riding.
No, "Updated Sept. 14, 2020, 12:15 p.m. Public use and entry closure to all ODF-managed forests is extended through at least Wednesday, Sept. 16. Fire danger remains extreme, air quality is bad to hazardous, and last week’s wind storms caused downed trees on roads and other safety problems that need to be cleared. We appreciate your understanding." And save your lungs with all the smoke in the area
Not sure wasn't a week and a half ago
Yes lots better bring a winch and a shovel and some snow chains chains a lots of food just in case you get stuck and some dry firewood
Browns camp its self has a gate they close in the winter. But trails are open, you can park at the gravel pit or Roger's camp...or any where along the road safe to pull off.
Check at the Shell station that's on the way up from hwy 26. That's where we got ours. Hope it helps.
They are fisrt come first serve except for the group sites but they are usually booked months ahead allready...
There are several old rock quarries that have been set up for shooting, and a few tucked away down the gravel roads. A trail map will show you the locations for the whole state forest
Yes
Thanks. I was asking about riding tho, not burning..
Theres not a lot of open room to go wherever you want, but a lot of the trails would be wide enough. The problem is they almost never have enough snow.
