Diamond lake campground is almost perfect! Great sites! Very big!! Some of them do not have much even ground for tent camping so look at photos before you book. Mosquitoes weren't too bad. We brought Thermacells and I didn't get one bite. Our campsite was on the water. Great breeze. You can rent boats, party barges, paddle boards and peddle boats at the resort. Restaurant at the resort has amazing food and drinks and the staff is awesome! They also have a general store with a little of everything but prices are high!!!!! Would've given 5 stars but the bathrooms were very dirty and didn't have toilet paper most of the time. Bring your own!! Showers were hot and mostly clean. Will definitely go back. Smoke from the fires was minimal. Crater lake is 20 minutes down the road. Also cool pizza place on the lake!!

Very nice if you like camping to ride your bikes. It's a lake campground, lake is big but horrible it has so much seaweed and green algae that if you get in you come out smelling fishy. Campgrounds probably some are good ours was dusty, #h7 and h8, big enough but sooo dusty. While we were in front of the restrooms smell never got to our noses even if they were kept dirty most of the times. There are a lot of trees but still a lot spaces didn't get shade, no speed boat are aloud, unless you drive them at 10mph or less. It would have been a better experience if the lake was clean we would never come back.

We are usually not much for paid campgrounds, but this place is great. Amazing views, clean facilities and the prices are very reasonable. Sites are spaced enough where everyone has room. The bugs are crazy, but that's about the only negative. We will be back!

The campground is beautiful and less crowded than the more popular lodge (which is also an amazing place). My site had shore access, mosquitos were not bad. Important lesson, if tent camping realize it may be 90 in the day and 35 at night. So dress in layers.

I'd say unlikely with the current issues and concerns with wildfire.
Yep. We had a 10 person, 3 person and 2 person tent at one site. There is a limitation for number of cars (2) though. Also, don't miss the sunset from this campground. Enjoy!
Yes it will they have sites that will fit
Atleast 60x72. Larger then just a standard picnic. Id say average park picnic table
I dont think the water has ever been "warm" but the weather is a cool 65° and clear. The lake is 52 feet at its deepest.
You should camp in the camp grounds you will probably fit in more!! ☺
No free spots. I had cell service the whole time but probably depends on where you are at. I was on the lake south side. Lake spots are more expensive but only like $22.
They are slowing down a lot. Not many right now
Wood fire is allowed they provide a grate at each set up. There was many with boats and kayaks out there but I think the water is still cool for swimming but you can try!
Yes, it is recommended that you keep all your food in a safe area. This is not due to bears, but there are other animals like coyotes, wolves, and many other wile animals around the forest. We asked that you keep your food in safe containers to prevent any accidents due to wile life in the area. This is only to protect you and you family or friends. I hope this answers your question.
Yes, in some spots you can get cell service. Might depend on the carrier.
Go to the convention center area. There's a very nice day use area there open to the public.
There are. But, in camping there for 25 years I have only seen one at the lake and 2 bears 15 miles from the lake. Bears are not a problem.
They were open when I was there yesterday
I agree with Curt. I did not see any quads or any trails for off road use while we were camping there. We did see lots of bicycles and there is a great hike/ bike trail around the lake.
This place seems to always be packed, we were lucky to find one open camp spot in the entire campground. And this was a Monday.
Yes, there is a boat ramp. Most fish, or pontoon/patio, on this lake. Not sure if they allow speed boats. However, if they do, it is a smaller lake. As such, you will be across it in no time, barely at speed, and piss off everyone else on the water trying to fish/relax.
Really nice showers and bathrooms with flushing toilets. Prices vary depending mostly on how many vehicles you have in the campground.
It is about 30 to 45 min from crater lake. I never got to that campground enjoy
Yes, there is a Diamond Lake resort with cabins right on the lake.
Always try to reserve.. But, you should ldnt have to. Especially with the smoke in the area. Good opportunity to snag a great spot!
