Does the Government pay the rent for the SSI office? Does the rent not cover some parking places? The office is very busy and parking should be provided as it was before. Also the online directions do not say an appointment is REQUIRED!

VERY VERY BAD SERVICE… considering run by a government and being funded by working people. No one is picking up the phone, cannot even schedule an appointment via online. Very frustrating.

Security officer is really nice and helpful. The first staff member I met did not do my application completely correctly. I have gone back five times since then and met with someone different than the first time. She was really great and helped get my application going.

They made an appointment for me but never sent a courtesy confirmation as they said they would. When I called to get a confirmation, after the terribly long phone tree message (4:57 mins.) I was told I needed to hold 40 minutes or more. Ridiculous and imcompetent. No way to run a business. At least offer to give me a call back within a specified time. My survey experience is here.

HOW CAN I MAKE APPOINTMENT ON-LINE
90 days before your birthday is best. Not before that.
Walk in. No need for appointment. Just check their schedule because some days they are open for only a few hours.
You need to contact the office closest to where you reside by phone or online
Yup. Go on line ..it's easy. Go to social security.gov
They have a Dropbox that is located inside the offices. As such, access to the Dropbox is only during the hours for business in which they are open on Mon thru Fri.
I went into it pretty easily without appt. Took me 20 mins tops
I did. You have to call first to schedule an appointment
Mail in i suggest registered mail sounds important they are closed due to covid
Appointment only
Yes, call or go on line.
Beth is right. Walk-ins are attended to in about 15-20 minutes. If your case needs long & detailed work then they make an appointment for you for the same day or a future date. Parking is the major problem there!
No, you can walk in anytime for that. Bring 2 forms of id with you to avoid any hassles.
The turn over is fairly quick, i would give yourself an hour. I would bring two forms of ID if possible. Good luck.
Online! Avoid this location! Near parking is "closed to all SSA visitors"!
You can coll to the ofice and ask them and explain where is it.

You can create an account on ssa.gov to see this information. You may need to visit the SS office to get an activation code.
Andrea Jacobo you can only enter google and there you open your account and ask questions or else go directly to the office but very early and form online and there they attend you and leave soon.
You can coll, or go to on line and they can help you.
If your name on your social is different than the name on his statement (such as maiden name), the SS Office will see you as a different person

You need to file a new application to start your own so payments instead of your spousal benefits. You can do that on your account.
No, but appointment wait times can vary greatly depending on what you are looking to do.
I showed up 15 minutes after they opened and was seen within 45 minutes. Clean, smells fine, and great restrooms.
