It's a great course for any skill level and you can't beat the price. But... The pace is absolutely horrific. Expect 2.5 to 3 hours for 9 holes. Not uncommon to wait 10-15 minutes on each tee box. They have a marshall, but they don't do much in terms of keeping things moving. 5/5 for the golf, but the pace will make you think twice about coming.

In 1984. I hosted a bachelor party here. The staff could not have been more accommodating - given the fact that a few us drank to excess and drove the carts like we were auditioning for the movie Jackass with Johnny Knoxville!

Love this place but stopped going because of over booking and slow pace of play with no marshal. Also brought a cart girl in during winter, nothing for two summers. Just not the best decision making from management.

This was one of the first courses I ever played growing up. I can see why my dad had me start here since it’s a short 9 holes. The greens are a bit slow but they’re consistent and in good shape for how much play it gets. The bunkers are also in fine shape. The course used to be a little beat up as a kid but they’ve poured some money into it as well as the clubhouse and it really shows. If you’re looking for a quick and very walkable round of golf, this is the place. 9 holes only takes you about 2 hours even with some waiting, so you can play golf without having to commit an entire day. It’s also a fair rate. About $17 walking when I played on a weekday afternoon. I think there’s even a VIP card you can get that takes a little more off. Overall, I really like Diablo Hills and think you can’t go wrong here.
