The whole process of getting in for my appointment was pretty annoying. The telephone tree, random hangups, failed callbacks, etc were frustrating and time consuming. But those are not controlled by this service center itself. When I did get to a person, I was able to make an appointment 1 week out, not bad for April at the height of tax season. The service center looks like a low budget temporary office inside, but the IRS staff woman I met with, Ms. Perez, was very knowledgeable and very helpful. Ms. Perez was on time for our scheduled appointment and stayed over our appointment time to finish helping me because the next appointment had not shown up yet. She also helped troubleshoot for me, giving me advice on the next possible issues that may come up that I had not thought about yet, and how to plan and fix them now, likely saving me a future trip and definitely saving me time figuring it out for myself.

After 40mins on hold to try to make an appointment the phone call was disconnected automatically, TWICE!!! Can't speak with a IRS agent for when trying the past 6 months and can't set up an appointment either, what's wrong with this people! what are they getting paid for?

This office is not accessible, and this is by design. There are no appointments, nobody answers the phone, no way to find support. Like the DMV, they exist beyond a curtain and simply collect tax-payer funded paychecks with no accountability. This is not what "free country" means. It means we are free to work and produce something, at some point, for crying out loud!

The people there are helpful, but the office is small and severely understaffed. The office is converting to appointment-only after July 19, 2016, so this will probably alleviate some of the problems. If you plan on coming before then, get there an hour before the office opens (8:30) if you want less than a 4-5 hour wait time. There are only 11 chairs inside, so you will be waiting to even get a number to wait inside. Otherwise you will be sitting on the floor in a small vestibule. If you are looking for a transcript, just order it online. The office is understaffed, with only two people working. With each person taking 30 minutes or more to be serviced, this severely limits the number of taxpayers that can be assisted. Martin did an excellent job of giving people realistic timelines and assisting people in line as much as possible. He would help people in line and hand out forms if the person could do something without having to wait. When I saw him inside, he was able to give me clear and quick answers to my questions. The site would receive a higher rating if it was staffed appropriately.

I suggest you make an appointment or you will not get seen. i had to make an appointment thru the phone. Had to wait a month before their next available appointment. your taxes might be processed by then.. Fastest way will be calling Main Irs number, keep trying their automated system is very confusing and long waits. hope this helps. Goodluck.
If you do not receive your fund direct deposit or on a debit card then you will receive a tax credit of 600.
You can talk to someone inperson
When I went it to verify identity. They also have forms in the hallway in boxes. I also believe you have to make an appointment to see the taxpayer advocate (I had to)
Yes
Unless the court gave permission to claim them. No it is fraud on federal papers. You should get ahold of the IRS to fill out the proper paperwork and probably bring it to the judge's attention too
