Over the phone & in person I've had no problems recently. If you want to be treated nicely do the same thing in return for Social Security Administration. Being nice without attitude goes along way. Just Cooperate with them & they'll be nice to you.

Everyone that works there is so incredibly rude. The wait wasn’t too long thankfully, but the staff is awful.

Called to ask about getting a replacement SS card and was sent a packet with info and form. Was told I had to mail in and could not make an appointment. Well I can't mail my driver's license and don't feel comfortable mailing my birth certificate. I then informed the agent I receive SSDI and have just obtained a job. I asked what I needed to do, what info I needed to provide and what happens to my payments. I was sent another document with info and told to submit my pay stubs. I couldn't get a straight answer on my payments. I called the main number and was informed that the local agent was supposed to have taken down all my employment info for the system. The main office agent was extremely helpful.

The Security Guard Don Ripple is extremely rude! As I approached him to ask where the drop off box was ( because I was told by the SS rep that there was a drop off box there) he yelled at me that the "check-in kiosk is over there" as he pointed to it, before I even said one word to him. I said that I had called yesterday and was told that I just needed to ask the security guard where the drop off box was. He gave me a snide look and with a rude tone of voice he relayed that there wasn't a drop box in that office and then he pointed to the kiosk again and said "check in is over there". I started to ask if he knew what info I would need to check in with. All I was able to say was "do you" before he cut me off and YELLED "Mam the check in is over there!" So I checked in. I work for a doctor and I needed to let the answering service know that I did not know what time I would be in now and they would have to page the Doctor directly for emergencies. The Security Guard YELLED at me again that I can't use the phone. YELLED not informatively but barking an order at me. It was literally less than a 30 second call. I can prove it on my phone. When I told him that I worked for a doctor and was just trying to let the ans service know what they need to do with Emergency calls he stated " I don't care! You're being disrespectful!" It was quite obvious that I was in a new situation with this office. I was misinformed originally and a little lost as to what to do. It's unfortunate that I have to give a low rating for this office because the representative that I saw was very polite and helpful. This security guard is not only lacking people skills but has absolutely no interest in helping people. He definitely should not be the first person that anyone should have to encounter. 12/11/19.

Since Covid laws have taken effect, one cannot just walk-in anymore. You have to make an appointment, which they do everything in their power to avoid doing when on the phone with them. Including blocking your number for asking.
Yes
Yes, I have gone in person
There's costs to any name change. That's a court thing though and not a social security question. You can find your answers at your probate court or your local city hall.

No only by appointment but depending what you need
Go to SSA.gov. Unfortunately there is no "walking in". You must call in for an appointment to see anyone in person at your local office. Except the phone lines to make an appointment is busy 24 hours a day. Yes, I have called at 1:00am and the line is busy. Eventually I got through. But my advice is do it all on line. It's way easier and less waste of your time.
That is the only way you are getting in.
you need to make an appointment for a new social unfortunately! on the website may i add- they wont do it over call. it should tell you what you need there
Yes you have to call and make appt. Cannot enter blding w out appt.
You have to fill out application it can be found online and show proof of identity but they will not accept any form of birth certification. My sons been trying to get a replacement card and we had letter from hospital he was born, pay stubs, photo ID and a copy of his worn social security card and they won't accept any of that, they want a note from a Dr or hospital you may have visited inthe last year.
How to know how much I am going to get paid when I am 65 yeard
As per right now, the social security office in Nashua NH is closed. You have to go online, get the appropriate form, fill it out and mail it with the documents you are required to send. The process is fairly quick. Good luck!
You can make an appointment for those arrangements in office
Just call Nashua office and you can cancel. You can even schedule new one.You can also do online
You can make an appointment, but you don't need it. Tuesday and Thursday afternoons tend to be quick. Bring your birth certificate, otherwise they have to ask you security questions about your history.
About 2 to 3 weeks via mail
You can use any location. But it is easier for one closer to you.
No she dont

No. You can go in and all any question or apply for benefits without an appointment, though you'll be waiting 30-90 minutes. Tuesday/Thursday mornings seem to have the lowest wait times. Once you apply they'll give you an appointment to return.
