Nice well maintained beach with life guards on the premises. There are also gazebos to shelter people from the sun. There are large bathroom facilities and an outside shower available. There is a large playground and also a basketball court. Parking is limited, costing $2.00 per hour. Carry in carry out trash policy, which is not working well. Many fill the trashcans in the bathrooms with garbage. The bathrooms are not well maintained.

Love this place great place to bring your kids in the summertime I think it's on Thursdays they have these drumming sessions and they do fireworks there in the summer you got to love York Maine!

Ellis Short Sands Park is a small park in York Beach Maine. It has a small beach area and a walkway along the beach and around the park area. It is an easy and pleasant walk with nice ocean views. It has a number of benches which makes it nice for senior citizens and children. There are some rocky areas on the side of the beach for those interested in beach combing. Some gardens, a playground for kids and lots of space for picnics. A two minute walk to downtown shops.
