The location is breathtaking! Beautiful historic hotel. The staff couldn’t have been nicer from the front desk to the wait staff at the restaurant. The food was excellent and we were entertained by a great blues band on the porch. My complaint is the rooms. We paid good money for a two bedroom suite. It needs to be updated desperately. The carpet had stains, the furniture was comfortable but very worn. Even though it is a historic hotel the bathrooms need renovations. Get rid of the old tub and the low toilet. put in a shower and high toilet and new vanity.

The marketing was done so well which is why I wanted to give this boutique hotel in Hawley a try. My room on the first floor was about 117 sq/ft (approx. 13’x9’) for over $200 per night. I happen to have a tape measure since I in the housing business. Bathroom was fine but the sleeping area was small (as opposed to “cozy”). The lobby and waterfalls were nice but the actual room you paid for was disappointing. The Cocoon coffee and bakery was not well stocked and like the Ledge Hotel, well marketed but does not match its reality. It’s a one and done for me in this place. Maybe in their peak season they are better…I hope.

The food, ambiance, and service were top-notch. Our room was a different story. It's situated above the kitchen. The walls/floors are very thin. We heard every word, and every plate moved on the racks until 2 hours after the kitchen closed. The room definitely needs updating, especially the bathroom. Toilet moved, and not all the water drained from sink. Walls were a bit dirty, which obviously turned me off as not to return. It's a shame as it's a nice place with so much more potential.

From check- to check-out the staff there are all extremely nice! They set the stage for a nice quite getaway. If your looking for a scenic quote getaway during winter season this is the place. Get a room with a view of the frozen Falls. Worth every penny!!

Yes our one bedroom suites have a spiral staircase to the second floor. We do have a number of rooms on one floor if you prefer. Please give us a call and we're happy to help you figure out which room is right for you! 570.226.1337
On weekend yes. But weekdays it is not to bad.we walked right in and were given a few seating options.
They play a selection of music over the radio in the restaurant during the evening. The Silk Mill's music can be heard from the hotel room when events are going on, although it is quiet. There was no live music at the hotel while we stayed from Saturday to Sunday.
