Like if this review helpful... Experience the vibe of the 1950s eclecticism in this retro diner. Menu offers traditional breakfast along with a diversity of other meal options. Fun place for a family-friendly meal or a brunch with friends. BTW...Solid cup of black coffee if that's your sole purpose.

My family thoroughly enjoyed eating here last month while we were catching up in Portsmouth, NH. You might call this a breakfast restaurant but it's really more of overall experience and that included some really far out breakfast entrees as well as flights in mimosas. The service was totally spot-on. The food was amazing. And the overall atmosphere was very eclectic. We're definitely coming back here!

Second time back here, first time was around 2018, had a great experience the first time around and I was very happy to return here! If you’re into eclectic vibes, cool antique-esque decor & great food this is the place to go. Amazing vegan options, the breakfast burrito was fantastic, perfectly seasoned and full of flavor I enjoyed every single bite; the homey breakfast styled potatoes were delicious and perfectly cooked, the fresh salsa was good also. I was so happy I only ordered one vegan pancake because it’s about 10 inches! Delicious perfectly cooked I would suggest asking for more syrup because of the size but that’s just me because I love my syrup evenly distributed. The serving size is definitely worth the price! The mimosas were great as well, love the effort in making everything look as good as it tastes.

The Friendly Toast deserves its reputation if for no other reason than value. You better check that you don't have a hole in your stomach if you walk away still hungry after a meal here. However, there are other reasons to enjoy FT. The food options are extensive, creative, and delicious. The decor is a hoot and the staff will take great care of you. I'm fairly confident that you won't regret giving FT a visit.

No, I can't think of any restaurant that is
Yes.. very bitter. The second time iI skipped the coffee and got a bloody Mary. No bitterness at all. Lol
I didn't when I was there for breakfast. We got right in. We went about 9am
Unfortunately we will not have the patio available this season in Portsmouth. The city put a price tag on the space that we just couldn’t make profitable. Our Bedford location will have their Patio again all season.
They don't take reservations but leave your number with the host and they will text you back when ready. We just walked around the street, a million shops there. 45 minutes went by in no time
Mask to enter and to use the facilities. Other than that if seated no masks needed. The staff is wearing masks and sanitizing tables and hands regula5
I was very pleased with their GF options. While I'm not celiac, I do have wheat and gluten allergues (anaphylactic reaction) and had no problems here.
