My company’s insurance is via Spectera so I had no choice but to use Walmart. Despite my reluctance to have any medical interaction in a store, I was impressed by the quality and professionalism of the eye exam. Eye Doc was very thorough and explained everything very clearly. They also had some nice new exam machines. The store staff measured me for my glasses and did all the paperwork for the insurance. Glasses were ready within a week. Job done.

No problem with Dr. Turner appointment itself. BUT, and it’s BIG BUT, I was quoted 85$ for comprehensive eye exam ( including eye dilation! ) and after appointment asked to pay 40 $ extra:( even though I didn’t get eyes dilated during exam. Turned out they used imaging to get info dilation would provide and skipped dilation for that reason.( also they saved their time , like 20 minutes and drops) . I don’t care HOW INFORMATION is gathered as long as I get COMPREHENSIVE EXAM I was quoted 85$ for. The piece of paper they give you to sign makes it look like exam using that imaging would be “ only 40$” . Kind of makes sense because it saves them ton of time. But no:( Very misleading and disappointing. I regret going there a lot

The doctors appointment was great but the glasses I ordered were completely wrong and took forever to come in. They need to make sure they double check the prescription before ordering. Ended up getting a refund instead of waiting to reorder. Great place to get a prescription but don’t order your glasses here

My daughter dropped my glasses so I need one as soon as I can. A popular optometrist in town is fully booked and the first available time spot is two weeks away. Therefore I decided to give Walmart a try, which has an opening on the next day. The exam room in the vision center of the Walmart on Lafayette Road is clean and well maintained, and they have all necessary equipment ready. Dr. Turner is very professional and friendly. She feels like an experienced optometrist who can zoom in to the correct prescription during the exam without unnecessary trials. The experience was surprisingly good.
