This is where you go if you want a safe, well maintained, well organized range. Last time I went, I was nearby two guys with a S&W 500 Magnum, playing things a little loose, and was happy to hear the call "MUZZLE!", from the RSO. Those dudes couldn't have a conversation without swinging that .500 mag around in their hand. This is one of many safety issues that plague Ocala's unsupervised range, and while I've played RSO plenty of times there, it often creates some tense situations, and when a 12 year old kid is swinging a Glock 17 with a 33 round magazine in your face 3 times in a row and the father says "he knows what he's doing", you find the organization of Tenoroc to be refreshing and much needed. If you are a real shooter, you don't see the overbearing supervision as stressful, it's the opposite, it creates a relaxing environment where you are free to shoot and not have to worry as much about every single person on the firing line.

We have visited Tenoroc many times to go shooting on the clays course - it is so much fun! My husband and I felt that that the pricing was great. The course is walkable and there are plenty of shaded areas. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Clean and organized outdoor range for both pistols and rifles. They also have options for archery and moving targets. That's why I can't give a 5 start till I check out all the facilities. However the gun range was very safe especially for new time shooters practicing.

Thanks for messaging. Yes we allow black powder on 50/100 yd rifle range.
Depends on what person is able to handle more than likely....its a outside range with good yardage so i would ass u me most any caliber.....minus tanks.... probably cant shoot tanks there ..
They should be open. Christmas is on one of their regular closed days.
Thanks for the info. This is a controlled family friendly public facility and not all shooters have the experience or training for controlled rapid fire situations. It also creates an unsafe, distracting and dangerous environment in all our lanes for other shooters.
There is none, long as a parents there and the kid is capable.
The rifle range is again open
Thanks for messaging. We reopened later in the afternoon. All is good. Thanks
No rapid fire allowed, in either semi or full auto. Unless the rules have changed since my last visit.
Thanks for messaging. Unfortunately we do not have any areas to pattern turkey guns.
We have never had anyone ask this. There is a risk from ambers of gun powder residue firing actions and what other guests could be shooting nearby. I will check with our Director of Ranges. Thanks
Only to use for sporting clay shooting and for proof of age for young adults. Please view our safety view on line prior to visiting with us. Thanks
Thanks for messaging. Shot size #7 1/2 or #8 & #9 shot only.
Thanks for messaging. Kids are very welcome here at our Tenoroc Public Use Area. We have many activities and programs just for kids. Yes an eight year old can shoot with us. Sometimes even kids 5 to 7 years of age are very good shooters. You as a parent, relative or Guardian are responsible for your child's safety and the safety of others. We encourage you to be with them at all times. It's a special opportunity to teach, train & educate kids regarding safety rules and how to be a good shooter here at Tenoroc. Before you come visit with us, you can go online to our Tenoroc Shooting Range web site and view our Range Safety Video. All first time shooters are required to watch this video prior to shooting at our ranges. Hope this helps. Thanks

Thanks for messaging. We offer one great price to all our guests. Hope to see you soon.
Yes of course they are but you will still need to wear hearing protection. Also you will want to carry around a copy of your form 4 in case someone that works for the ATF happens to be at the range or if you get pulled over in route to and from the range. Source: https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/does-possessor-nfa-firearm-have-show-proof-registration Another fun fact: to travel with a supressor from state to state does not require notification to the ATF nor does any interstate travel. Notification to the ATF is only required for machine guns or short barreled rifles
Thanks for messaging. The entire range must b COLD in order to access your targets. Please watch our safety video on our web site for additional range protocol. Thanks
Yes we have areas for shooting your air rifle & and the .22 can be shot at one of our additional ranges
Thanks for messaging. We apologize for the late response. In the future you can just call us direct M,Th,Fr,Sa,Su with all your questions. We do have a wheel chair ramp on our rifle and lowered bench areas for shooting accessibility. Call us at 863.668.5795 for additional information.
Archery by itself is $12.00 per day. But it is inclusive if you are shooting the range on the same day. We have seven block targets for long bow & compound bows. At this time we do not have any targets available to shoot crossbows.
Yes Brian the 50yd is for pistols
Yes I have a great friend that is teaching both his kids to shoot
Thanks for asking. All three are allowed for shooting.
Thanks for the info. We have so many different variations of ammo. We want to insure that you receive the right feedback on what is best for your guns. They are free
Yea like 10 and some change. All day long any range you want.
Safety and to make sure idiots know what's allowed or not. They only educated when need to be besides that your on your own.
Thanks for the question. We do not rent any firearms for usage on our rifle or pistol ranges.
You can walk in any time, but it's a good idea to call first.
Sure thing! I bring my wife with me often.
I have called 4 times b4 I got my 50 bmg and they told me it was allowed.
They rent shotguns for the trap and sporting clays course but no rifles or pistols
Unfortunately we do not. There are certified instructors and classes available in Polk County but we do not have any information available at this time.
Thanks for the message. Yes we do. $10.70 per day for adults covers rifle &pistol range use.
We allow you to shoot your shotgun on the rifle range but with slugs only. We also have a fully automated 15 station sporting clays course.
It was close for a for a while but it's it's open now
Yes
They used to do it before I don't know the rules have changed.
I think they closed on Mondays but they're open from Tuesday to Sunday. You can shoot any day you want. They got 14 stations and each station has two machine are pre-loaded with a clays. At the checkin office they give you a card that will that you will use to insert into the machine that's in the station and then there be handheld device that haves buttons on it that you pushed to release the clays. The machine will also tell you how many you shot. It's $0. 35 for per clay.
It's around $13.50
I'm pretty sure all government run facilities (like this one) must provide accommodations.
Why not call and ask before you do any shooting?
18 to use the range without a legal guardian
I thinknyou might have tobuse the archery area, but that is with ridge archers and requires an annual membership I believe
Not that I'm aware of, except for the ridge archers across the street from the range
Yes.
They do have a shotgun range however is temporarily closed due to the hurricane. They're having to rebuild the dunes. In the meantime there is one that's not as nice at Saddle Creek or there's a beautiful range down in Frostproof for shotguns as well. We can't wait for this one to reopen so we can start using them again
I say the same thing John Campbell wrote. The rifle range is not up due 2 the hurricane. The range is working on getting it fixed.
Yes. All open now
Yes they do and in the administration building. New restrooms are currently under construction right in front of the small arms shooting range. You'll have a great time.
Yes. There is a rifle range there. No full auto firearms allowed. Semi-auto only.
Yes u can. Tenecore Range is the best. Look it up and it's in Lakeland Fl.
I don't think so I didn't see any I'll try asking one of my friends
I drove over there, all the way from Orlando. Just before you get to the drive into the shooting range, they had the entire road blocked shut with a big steel gate chained and locked. Looking off to the side of the road, it all looked very flooded with deep water. I wouldn't be surprised if they're shut down for a real long time. Their 100 yard rifle range has such poor drainage. Just an average rainfall and the range is muddy with standing water up to your ankles & sometimes even higher. I imagine the whole range is totally under water.
No they do not unfortunately. You have to bring your own firearm. They do have a small shop with certain types of ammunition/targets/clays/eyeprotection/eye protection in the office building, but everything else you'd have to bring yourself.
They are open Labor day but their hours may differ. Whatever that means. Normally they are open Mondays from 9 am -5 pm
