U-Haul Moving & Storage at Pulaski Hwy

I used to go to this storage unit two years ago and never had any problems. Due to that I decided to come back to this location for storage, but it seems like the management has changed drastically (not in a good way). The amount of calls I have had to make to UHaul HQ this weekend to sort out issues is insane. 1. Don't go here if you are looking for any kind of 24/7 access. They lock all the bay doors once the office is closed at 5 and even if you pay extra to access your storage unit 24/7, your code will not get you in past 10p. 2. If you are going to rent any vehicle, make sure you double and triple check all gauges with the levels indicated on your rental contract. Take pictures of everything. When we rented our truck, the contract said that the truck had a full tank of gas, but when we got there it had only 7/8ths of a tank. Because we signed the contract to bring back the truck at the same gas level that was indicated on the contract, we ended up paying for an 1/8 of a tank of gas more than we should've (note, current gas prices are $4.40) 3. It's impossible to get a hold of anyone via phone here. All phone numbers provided go directly to UHaul HQ. Folks I've talked to who were actually able to find some sort of number associated with this specific location note that no one even picks up anyways. The only redeeming quality of this place (and why it's not getting a 1 star) is that all of the employees that we met were relatively nice. Hence my assumption that this is a management issue. Simply put, don't go to this location if you have other options. If you do end up here, be vigilant and explicit when you can actually find a person to talk to.

Just had the best U-Haul experience. As we walked through the door, Robert Flowers showered us with jokes and kindness. He patiently helped us even though the store was closing soon. The facility is big, clean, and has countless services and products to ease the process of moving. The vehicle we wanted to rent was available, the checkout process was easy, and the return was seamless. We will definitely return for the quality service. Can't recommend Robert, his services, and this U-Haul facility enough!

Absolutely horrible experience. Whenever you have the manager (SHARON) come out to help you with a Ubox and she's smoking a cigarette in front of you and your 1 yr old, there's a serious problem. She also had the audacity to argue and refer to me as being late when the gate to get the Uboxes was closed and locked (See pic). I frequent this uhaul quite often, and it once was one of the better locations in the area of not the best. But they've since gotten new management and all new staff. Now there's complete lack of accountability and respect when interacting with the customer. Please bring back the previous manager (Ray) and staff... make this uhaul great again!

Not only is this the cleanest facility I’ve ever been to, the manager Yvette went above and beyond when I had an issue accessing my locker that was my own fault. I would go back to extra space storage just because of the Yvette’s professionalism and customer centric focus. Keep up the great work!
