I went to ER for my dad, and they quickly found the cause and scheduled for proper treatment. I see a lot of reviews about nurse being rude, doctor being rude, etc. Overlook is a big hospital in this town, and it is always busy. Nurses and Doctors are usually overwhelmed. Keeping that in mind, I ignore any rude encounters. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: whether they find the root cause of the problem or not and suggest proper treatment or not. For my dad, they did both perfectly, and on top of them, they keep me in the loop every step of the way. So I give five star for doing what I wanted. Go with confidence. They have high quality doctors.

Dr. Anjali Patel and her ANP Paren Wali have no place caring for patients in cognitive decline. I have worked in medical for 15+ years and this is the absolute worst treatment I have ever received on behalf of my loved one, who is suffering with memory loss. You will wait months just to see Dr. Patel and when you do her bedside manner and compassion will be absent and then you will be passed off to a nurse practitioner who is extremely inexperienced. There was zero follow up on any of the diagnostic testing directly from the doctor, all that is offered is a follow up appointment with the NP. NP had the audacity to say my loved one was “visibly upset” and that she would connect us with a “social worker”. I was appalled. Of course my loved one is upset, their short term memory is completely depleted. She also recommended doing crossword puzzles. Suggesting CROSSWORD PUZZLES to a patient that is already in cognitive decline is disgraceful! The Atlantic Neuroscience Institute should be ashamed of this treatment of memory loss patients. My heart really breaks for any family that has waited to see the doctors at this office, they show absolutely no compassion for how awful this disease is and also seem to have absolutely no solutions. You will be passed off to an extremely inexperienced and unprofessional NP with little to no direction for follow up care. I will be the first to say I reacted very emotionally in the office based on the treatment that we were given. However, something needs to be done and changed inside a practice operating this way. Please AVOID this office at all costs and find a competent providers with compassion and consistent follow up care for your memory conditions ❤️. My love goes out to the sufferers and caregivers of this awful disease, doctors like this should not be allowed to care for you.

I am a first time mom and had no idea what to expect when arriving at overlook for prelabor contractions. The intake process was 2 minutes I was greated by Lorraine who was literally a doll. She put me in a room immediately and got me started on pain meds. The whole team in the labor and delivery unit was amazing especially Marissa who was my main nurse she held my hand through the epidural process and everything else. This team had my baby born in 15 minutes of pushing I can’t thank them enough. As if this team wasn’t amazing I was transferred to the mother baby unit where I had an incredible team for post partum I can’t thank them enough, Kelsey, Lori and so many others that I don’t have enough room here to name. I had a complimentary massage and meals all day and night my husband and I didn’t want to leave the hospital. I even asked if I could stay a few extra days they were laughing at me. I will for sure be recommending this hospital for having a baby and will come back for my next ones in the future. Keep up the great work and know that your hard work does not go unnoticed.

These nurses should bot even talk about patients complaints or keep their opinions to themselves. Its not urgent but at least don't talk about it next to the patients room you know. The nurse that saw him was very rude and also she sounded miserable. This places feels miserable with these nurses working on a sunday.

Sorry to hear about this. I had a similar experience with my wife suffering from pain from an ovarian cyst. The unfortunate truth is that the ED in Summit is understaffed and underfunded and that drives people away to its mother site in Morristown. I wish I could suggest a better way but what you did was sadly the only thing you can do.
You can go to atlantichealthcareers.com. The category you are looking for will be in entry level and is using called an environmental aide. Hope that helps!

Two parking decks are open 24 hrs for self park and is $4. They also have valet during the day for I believe $7. Certain departments will validate for $2 or free. Booklets of 10 coupons can be bought for $20 and if you are visiting someone daily who is admitted for a week or longer you can get a set of exempt stickers.
You need to contact the hospital.
