This place is tremendously horrible. My friend is 18 and pregnant and they just kicked her out. I thought you guys were supposed to help no matter what π

It's a great place for kids that need to get away from life and home although I think they could have done more for my son when he was there but that's neither here nor there please support this shelter it's helped so many children and you get through

I donated so much to this shelter. They were so nice, helped everyone, and I know they want to help people.

As an E.P. (extensive placement) resident, I can genuinely say that this place has done miracles for me and those that I surround with myself with. From staff, to the homeaid food, to group, to the basketball courts you'll find yourself having a great time. Miss you kathleen!!!! β€β€

The shelter is for 12 to 17 year olds.
You have to be 18 and older if you are a miner then there are so many better programs then that one you can go to trust me on that one
Our Residential Shelter Care program is a short-term program and how long a youth can stay in our home is decided upon case by case, based on the needs and circumstances of our clients. If you are in need of shelter, please call our 24-hr crisis hotline at (800) 914 - CASA (2272) and one of our staff members will be happy to provide you with more information and help however we can.
You have to call to see if there is availability and they will have to notify someone of your whereabouts also this shelter is temporary. I think no longer than two weeks. Call them for more information and additional resources.
Yes. Just give them a call and explain the situation.
Also Precious Life Shelter which is on the same street has a thrift shop that accepts clothing and used items.
Yes
Runaway children are allowed
There are no fees for services at Casa Youth Shelter. Our parenting classes work on the sliding fee scale but our resident program is no-cost to you.
No you do not. But the cases are assessed on a day to day basis with a 3 week maximum hold time. This is only a Temporary shelter to help create a bridge in figuring out next steps. The team can provide resources to help next steps as you transition out of the program. If you are looking for more permanent housing. This wld only be a band aid program. Program is also only intended for minors
Yes! Visit www.casayouthshelter.org/join-our-volunteer-corps for more info.
Just give Casa a call. They are open 24 hours a day. Even if you don't stay they will be able to give you resources or provide counseling services. Let them know exactly what is going on so that they can best help you with your situation.
