I came in to get my drivers license photo taken. I think I lucked out because I got right in and got my ticket and sat down. It did not take long. 1:30 pm. All the employees were super kind and helpful. All in all it was a very good experience especially compared to my prior times visiting where it was incredibly busy. Compared to the Lancaster location, this physical building needs to be bigger to serve the number of people who come in here. That’s not the employees fault. But they need to find a better location or expand. It needs an update. When I left there was a back up of people standing in line almost out the door again. That’s where they need to do a better job of creating a better flow for the number of people who come into this building. Again, they just need to model this like the Lancaster location to make it a better experience for everyone.

I was there on 6/16/2022 to get my real ID driver’s license. I was there at 8:30 when they opened and we were separated into different lines depending on what you were there for Of course Real ID was the longest and I only waited about 25 minutes to get to the clerk So as we were going g thru the documents I brought she quickly stayed my marriage license was NOT acceptable because it was not a certified copy but original and it was only signed my a rabbi. I was so taken back by her discriminating religious remark I became speechless I than Said I just wanted to renew my license and she said get over there I had no idea what she was talking about and when I asked her where she “barked” you have to pay first. I should have immediately asked for her supervisor but was so amazed at her remark I just wanted to get out of there I will be calling to speak to a supervisor to report her

Very impressed with the service today and especially with the speed. I had been dreading license renewal and real id process based on prior visits to this location but was pleasantly surprised today. Check in process was efficient as were the 2 other ladies who helped me today complete my transaction and clearly explained all details to me. Nice work DMV Shillington!
