I'm happy that they exist , however I must question their work ethics because it is next to impossible to get a update on progress. Maybe they aren't making any or my file is sitting in a pile on someone's desk who. Does every thing but. Show up to work. It's no wonder the homeless population is growing out of control with the. Lack of interest in helping people get the services they need to get back on their feet. I applied for emergency assistance from Aha and submitted all the required info for both tenant and landlord and still not a word. I even verified that they received the. Paperwork and they have still nothing meanwhile my friend is at risk of becoming homeless while these employees do little to no work. I know the program is federally funded and I'm sure the city of A has gotten the funds from the federal end so why are they not distributing them as they advertise.

They sure are demanding in proof of employment in Anaheim city limits. I was unable to produce paystubs totaling 40 hours a month but had been allowed to live in one of the projects without being approved until they declined me. Fortunately I found another home within my price range in an area I like better, so I still live in Orange County despite this USELESS Housing Authority screwing me over.

Sent me paperwork that was due by 5p.m. the day it was delivered!!! I took it down to their office ( which was extremely difficult considering I'm disabled). Anyway, I was told by the front desk" it's in the supervisors hands now and I will be contacted. That was the week before Thanksgiving 2018!!!! I'M STILL WAITING! Long story short, I became HOMELESS!!! Garden Grove housing authority (which I was going through before I was transferred to AHA) is MUCH MORE PROFESSIONAL AND MUCH FRIENDLIER. I'm amazed that AHA is still allowed to work with the public. Achieved housing on my own - NO THANKS TO AHA!!! THEY SHOULD REALLY BE INVESTIGATED.

I've been waiting for all most 3 years
I live with my ex partner she has housing and I’m included in her housing voucher but I want to move out because things aren’t going so well so what do I need to do and how can I remove myself from her voucher because I don’t want to live here with her ohh and the house we rent is under both our names through housing...
I believe if u have a worker already call the worker tge staff there in the front desk there not nice at all
You have to have lived here for a year before you can move out of state and whatever state you move to you have to have lived there year before you can poured it over to another state I don’t know what it is for other states they might have changed it but it used to be a year
Go to the housing authority website
The housing authority section 8 or social services one time payment
Check the website before going to the office for openings and wait list information
Go on line print the update form and either mail it in or drop it off at the office.
I truly can’t believe they made you wait this long that is totally ridiculous all right when you have health issues take documentation up if you have mental issues take documentation up put it on file there’s other institutions meaning other within organizations within the Housing Authority that can house you also come if you have mental health I am and disabled section 8 isn’t the only one butAlso City Net the police department also used to handle it
How long is tranda

Call the portability specialist and they'll walk you thru and arrange everything
You should contact your current housing authority to tell them you want to port out to anaheim. They will explain the process. As long as it's a section 8 voucher, that can be taken to any state, its federal hud funded.
U gotta call them . See what's up . Just like you r asking me, ask them all the questions u have. Your suppose to keep them update if u move or email or change your phone number etc.
Wait time I don't know. Sorry but y can't you update your info. You need to report that you are homeless. Do you have a mailing address where u r still receiving mail at?
OC Housing authority's coverage all cities garden grove, santa ana anaheim, irvine have their own housing voucher system but you can port ur county voucher to any city as well
Me too..i am în subsidiary in php as..want to move to calof anaheim..what can I do please Thank you
I was on the list 6 years, 3 months and three weeks. Be patient start looking for places now because some apartments have a waiting list of up to 4 years. Good luck.
You need to your housing specialist or just call housing in general ok
It all depends I would think upon the person at the place they hold it if your a vet
Yes you can get help from housing. Fastest way would be to get on a waiting list for a HUD project apartment and or go through a nonprofit such as mercy house. Section 8 housing takes up to 5 years to get in unless you are a veteran.
Do I have to be a resident of Anaheim?
It varies $26,150 but you can always call and check.
Up
Nope
The worst thing about anaheim housing is you only deal with anaheim public utilities. You only get a 9.00 credit on your bills for being disabled. If you are with sce you get on cares which offers a more genererous reduction in your utility fees.
Is there a specific number i should call other than their regular phone number that ive been calling
