Not much to see here. The nearby Museum of Quilts and Textiles, and the Institute of Contemporary Art are far more interesting on the day of my visit: July 22, 2022.

We were walking in the downtown and suddenly found that each first Friday of the month Museum of Art offers a free admission! It's a great opportunity to see the new exhibition! There was even a small jazz concert from the college students. Very nice evening)

Took my 15yr old son and his girlfriend. They loved it. It is small, but free for them and only $10 for me. It broadened their ideas of art, what they think of it and if it's something they could do. Highly recommend-- if only because it shows how art can make you feel something.

Pleasantly surprised by this place! I typically don’t enjoy contemporary art but their exhibits had a good balance of paintings and sculptural pieces. Not a huge establishment but you can easily spend an hour in there Friendly staff and curator who proactively share with patrons Very accessible by public transit if you don’t want to park dt.

It's open, and they have art!
They have a gift shop...not an art supply shop, for art supplies you should look elsewhere....for example you might find more at the arsenal or California art supply store in San Mateo...also depends on what in specific your needs are....check Yelp!
Admission is $10 for adults, but kids, college students, and teachers are free with ID. Everyone is free on First Fridays -- the first Friday of every month after 5 pm.
It might be part of the Bank of America free museum first weekends, if you have any Bank of America card
Not on Weds 5/16. The next event is free admission for international museum day on Friday
