I was genuinely surprised how engaging the exhibits are. Some of them could use some TLC (like the surfing exhibit), but we easily spent two hours here and learned a lot about the Bay Area peninsula. Definitely recommend paying a visit if you live in the Bay or want to kill time while downtown.

Long ago I was there when it first opened as a museum; not as much was on display as there is now. Really some beautiful items on display now. The reason I gave the pics a 3 is the lack of info about what is being displayed in the pics. I wanted to know more about the items that were beautifully displayed in the pics. Some u could zoom in on the signs next to item on display.

An amazing place for a county museum. The rotunda itself is worth the price of admission. The displays are organized by subject matter: ships, development, entrepreneurs, etc. A lot to look at, a lot to take in. The best recommendation I can think of is that my 5 year old grand daughter loves it. She's been there numerous times and took me on the tour.

Great cozy museum. A bit on the smaller side, but hugely dense exhibits. Would recommend checking out the model ship section, each one took a year to two years of dedicated time to make, and the attention to detail really shows!
