My recruiter was Gena Momroy and I cannot say enough good things about my experience with her. I was never treated like a number. Calls, emails and text messages were ALWAYS returned within 24 hours. I interviewed one day and was quite literally hired the next. She is just amazing and Helpmates is fortunate to have her. As for the receptionists, unlike at many temporary staffing agencies callers are treated with courtesy and respect. I would recommend and work with them in a heartbeat.

IMPORTANT!!!! Where is the zero??? Horrible experience here. So I was contacted by one of the male staff (I will be professional and not mention his name ) but beware. He expressed interest in my resume and invited me for an interview, however prior to that there were a series of test to take (from home). I completed the test and planned to attend an interview even though it was 47.4 miles away. I ran 35 min late for the interview due to rain and road closures, but called ahead to alert the recruiter (I don't like to run late). I would have turned around if there was an issue. During appointment scheduling I made it clear I would have to rush back since I am still employed. The recruiter said no worries! only 2 more test after my arrival. Bottom line is this, they discovered I did not complete an application after completing A BUNCH OF TEST from home. I couldn't remember if I'd completed it or not, but I did receive a reply of "Thank you for your application" and assumed I had done so. I explained to the receptionist that I had driven miles in the rain on limited time and that I would surely send it back from home. She went back and explained my issue to the recruiter and he refused to meet me. HE NEVER TOOK THE TIME TO COME OUT TO INTRODUCE HIMSELF. Regardless of the situation if someone drove in that far in which he knew, the respect you owe the candidate is simply common courtesy. Be professional enough to place a face with conversations, come out and greet the person there to see you. I would never let a candidate I needed leave without meeting them, even if I couldn't move them forward in the process (who does that?). My GUT tells me the position was already filled and his objective was to add one more person to the database. Felt like a game. Very SAD! IF YOU REGISTER HERE YOU ARE PROBABLY TAKING A CHANCE. REGISTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. I WOULD NOT TRUST THEM! Mr. Owner, I would gladly speak with you in depth regarding my experience. This is not a joke and I would like to know why there was a lack of customer service. Just let me know how I can reach you, at such time you will have all of my information.

On my initial interview the Helpmates staff were really great, but the friendliness and service declined with each visit. I was sent a link to take some proficiency tests in Microsoft programs, like Excel, Word, Etc. But had to go in to the office to complete them. The exams were pretty archaic and there was no instructions on how to move past a screen when the information was filled in. And the front office receptionist didn't even know how the programs worked. It was really frustrating trying to get help for proficiency exams to get a job. I am sure with their programs and system I failed the test. I didn't get to finish the other tests, because the first test took way too long. After that visit, I left several voicemail messages for my point of contact that were never returned. I was even sent the wrong type of job position. At the time I was looking for Social Media Community Manager/Coordinator type of work and the only job opportunity I was sent was one for a C & L Program Specialist, the job description wasn't anything I had requested for in my initial interview. I do not and would not recommend this staffing agency.
