Wonderful museum. But the experience was a little bit frustrating : after I buy my ticket, the guy at the ticket desk tell me the museum will close in 2 hours ! I would have need more than 2 hours to enjoy this visit. But the expos was very interesting 👍

A must see museum in the city! Has 7 levels of art that is full of a diverse use of art mediums! Huge sculptures, surrealists and abstracts. One exhibit had lights like a disco and a drum set for anyone to play! We were fortunate to see the special exhibit by Diego Rivera. This is a unique museum. You will not be disappointed if you love all forms of art!

The canvas paintings throughout the museum are either beautiful, creative, or thought provoking. Great place for photos. A must visit in San Francisco. 7 floors of exhibits, with a cafe and patio. Took over an hour and half to walk every floor and patio. I recommend.

I really like the museum. I mean who would not, I really appreciate the wall garden and space for reflection as well as the outdoor sculpture garden 🪴, the book store is awesome and I do not have to mention the shows. The only thing I really did not like was one of the guards shouting on the visitors who were discussing the artworks. Museums suppose to be places for dialog and ideas, for fruitful discussions and sharing. The people weren’t loud, they were just talking and it was so interesting and then this lady came in really not welcoming way to shout for people to be quiet, it’s not church and it was not polite. I didn’t like it.
They have coat check for you bags/suitcases and jackets. They will give you a number tag for your stored item and you can retrieve when you are ready to do so.
There are some exhibits (e.g. on loan/traveling exhibit from another museum) for which photography is not allowed, but for most it is fine, as long as no flash is used. Look for signs for the former.
Following its debut at The Met, the exhibition will travel to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), where it will be on view from December 17, 2022 through April 2, 2023.
Tickets are $25 USD for general admission, $22 for seniors, $19 for "young adults" (19-24), and free for under 18 or if you have a membership. There is an extra cost that can vary if you want to see some special exhibits.
Good night.
I'm an artist.
I want to make an exhibition in San Fancisco / California.
What requirements are needed to make an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco?
Thankful

I am not certain, but unless there isnt anything extraordinary, it should remain open. You may examine their web site for more precision.
does it allow re-entry? lets say if we want to dine outside Moma and come back to continue

I think so. You could always ask the counter person for advice. There is also a restaurant inside.
General admission will allow you to see everything but excludes special exhibitions. I recently saw the Rauschenberg special exhibition and it was well worth it.
SF MoMA has an iPhone app with lots of audio content. I'm not sure its a tour exactly, but it will undoubtedly enhance your experience of the gallery. Search on the app store and have a look for it!
