Go to DMV bring enough money and maybe need to take a driving question test on the computer there. Be sure to bring your old driver's license and or qualifying alternative identifications. You should be good with all that stuff. I think it probably cost about 40$ to 50$ for an driver's license nowadays.

West Covina DMV will start opening Saturdays on Aug 4th 8am to 5pm. No appointment required and will probably be less crowds. Just make sure you bring all your required documents(if required)

They due appts but a month or so wait. If you go early 6am and wait in line they will give you a time to come back with all your documents. It better to go online and start your process there. If you have the documents ready they will ask you to take a picture and upload it. After you have done the whole process it will give you a stop sign. Screen shot it and you should be able to go straight to front door instead of waiting in line.

Go online to dmv.gov and it asks what you want to do. Pick one and it will take you to the application. After application hopefully it gives you the Stop sign. Screen shot it or print it. I read that they are giving extensions on exp license and IDs if you cant get down there to get it done. Start on line though. I did my whole process on my phone.

After all the scanning was complete you'll get to a confirmation page with a stop sign you'll print that page out and take all the documents you need to the DMV. As long as he or she has passed the test from high school and has all the required documents,then that person can go up and ask or schedule a test date.
