We heard so many good things about this restaurant. We finally went, left very disappointed. The place looks like a dungeon all dark inside. However, the main disappointment is the food. I ordered cod with asparagus and beans. Beans? Who serves beans with fish? My dinner was tasteless and gross looking. My husband had filet mignon which was medium rare but very chewy. Overall not worth the money. We will not come back.

The blue heron is one of the best places to eat in this area. Everything is well paired, and all dishes are coocked and served to taste well. I recommend getting a reservation first, as it is sometimes busy.

I was planning a nice dinner out and was considering the Blue Heron. I went to the website to see If I could book online. I noticed they are still requiring proof of 2 shots of vaccine to enter and eat? What is going on with that? It seems like these restrictions are ending even in the most liberal of places. It seems very discriminatory to exclude folks who may be fully healthy and not in a highly effected bracket as far as Covid-19 is concerned. And since you can still carry and transmit this virus even with THREE shots, it almost seems like this is political? They also had some highly questionable political banners posted on their website as well. We wont be considering Blue Heron now or in the future. To bad because the food is excellent. Sometimes principle trumps all.

Blue Heron Restaurant (Owner) | Mar 21, 2021

We practice the highest standards of COVID-19 safety here at Blue Heron. Currently (as of February 2021) we are open for curbside takeout only. All staff wear masks and gloves and are spaced out to maintain 6+ feet distance, including while bringing food out to cars. When we are open for onsite dining, all tables are spaced at least 6 feet apart and indoor dining is equipped with a combination of HEPA air filters and open windows for maximum airflow. Outdoor dining with heaters is also available. Guests are required to wear masks at all times except for while eating and drinking. Capacity and time limits are applied where required by the state and by public health guidance. When we re-open for onsite dining you can view our full list of policies and procedures at www.blueherondining.com.
