great place to go bird watching and get outdoors in the OC! we come here once a month and have always seen a couple hawks and dozens of other species. lots of clean, flat trails to explore with a nature center and butterfly garden near the parking lot.

The variety of birds and the changing seasons are beautiful here. I've been coming about a year and a half. I love to go and capture the different birds I see in the marshes. There are so many different species I really enjoy!

This is my go to birding spot in the OC. I actually prefer this spot versus Bolsa Chica Ecological Preserve as it isn’t as exposed to the wind. There is plenty of parking and one can cross over to access to San Diego Creek where one can get some great action shots as the terns and other swoop down into the creek. There are a multitude of loops that one can take, a butterfly garden, and the Audubon Society building.

In the parking lot of the main entrance there are restrooms, a water fountain, and picnic tables.

No. It is all mud trails and not wheel chair friendly.
