Awesome retro hotel with a great restaurant/bar in the basement. Walking up the foyer staircase you feel like you're in a deco LA hotel. Rooms could use new dresser and end tables but other than that would definitely recommend. Will be coming back everytime I'm in town.

Had to leave my 4-day stay early because I was bit several times on my body by bugs overnight. Out of precaution I am treating all my clothes and belongings by throwing them in the dryer at high temps. Can’t recommend this place for anyone to stay unfortunately. Hotel staff were nice though

Positive: History, location, welcoming desk staff. Basic but clean room (wood floor appreciated). Negative: Entry stairs .. hard for senior arthritic knees.

The entire building smelled like smoke. We had a nonsmoking room but had to keep the windows open because of how bad it smelled. Heating made loud clunking noises all night long. The glaze on the bathtub was pealing and the shower head was very old. Room was semi clean but could have been better.
