Nice place to walk. Nice trails. Peaceful. Plenty to look at.

Gorgeous location for an outdoor wedding! I photographed one here in July, and the trees provided lots of much-needed shade for the hot weather. Trails are wide and relatively flat, so very easy to walk on in wedding attire. The amphitheater is a great blank canvas to decorate however you'd like, and the trees provide such a beautiful, natural backdrop! If your wedding is in the spring or summer, just bring some bug spray as there were quite a few gnats around that love sweat ;)

I came here for a wedding. It was beautiful and peaceful. There is a stage with benches to sit and watch the ceremony. The nature center can provide microphones and speakers. Very clean. Looks like a nice place to hike, too, as I saw many people with their families walking through. From what I observed, it looks like they also offer personal guides if you like. The staff that I met was very friendly.

Its a great hiking trail. It offers few hiking paths, so you can pick based on your interest. The path next to the river is the easiest one, pretty much flat. Lots of birds to see along the hiking paths. There is also an small set of old mining facilities which is interesting to see. There is restroom and seating area at the entrance next to the parking lot. The parking is free.

There are different trails you can go on, some are extremely easy while some are a little more challenging. You can follow the stream under the trees or hike up on the canyon edge if you like.
Yes. It is a good work out. It is very steep
Not enough!
The fires did not reach this park area, there should still be wooded and shaded areas.
Not for hiking. Pictures (professional) yes. Events yes.
Yes. There are a few tables by the entrance. We usually bring snacks and find a shady spot to rest and eat.
No
I'd park out on the street just in case. It's the same amount of walking as from the lot and you won't get towed or locked in if you straggle back after sunset
Thank you everybody for answering my question. I read their rules and they are very unclear and contradictory. Certainly written by a lawyer. Why it is OK to take pictures with a cellphone but not with a photo camera (DSLR)? Some newer high-end cellphones take better pictures than some low-end DSLRs.
generally mornings are the least populated.
They should be open. I went 2 days after a heavy rainfall and it was open except for 1 trail.
Parking is free I think the donation box is reasonable, specially when you take the tour and they bring out some reptiles for you to get a closer look
I am 99.99% sure it's open on Monday.
Yes they are. There is a fairly decent path that is wheelchair and stroller accessible.
Go enjoy a nice walk under huge, shady trees....or go on a lil 35 minute hike. Its all FREE!
The reservoir to the northeast is great for bikes. But the walking/hiking trails of the center no.
