I saw a sign saying photography or filming require a permit. Does this requirement apply only to commercial operations or also to amateur photographers? Will be nice if the sign was more explicit.

Thank you everybody for answering my question. I read their rules and they are very unclear and contradictory. Certainly written by a lawyer. Why it is OK to take pictures with a cellphone but not with a photo camera (DSLR)? Some newer high-end cellphones take better pictures than some low-end DSLRs.

They just want to make sure ifbyou will be profiting off of the photographs you get a permit so they can get some money too. Private use...good to go.

I take all kinds of pictures but I'm using my cell phone

Well I don't think so necessarily because my wife and kids had our family pictures taken there and there was a wedding at the same time and it went well for us no problem

I'm sure its commercial because I see hikers out there with cameras. I wouldn't worry too much about the sign.
