The surgical staff and nurses assigned to the 6 North floor of the hospital provided excellent care. Specifically, Nicole RN, Cynthia RN and Luke RN 6th floor, Dalia RN pre-op and Amy RN pre/post op all provided outstanding compassionate care!

My family was brought in from a car wreck and when I arrived the first thing they asked me was "Are you vaccinated" and the security guard said, "you need to put on a mask". The nurses seem compassionate but true compassion and paid compassion are two different things. 1st they legally can not ask you to disclose your vaccination status and as a hospital, they should know HIPPA Law when they ask me to violate willingly. We sat there for 6hrs for an x-ray and ultimately watched 3 rooms walkout including ourselves making the 4th room to walk out because of the lack of care received. The nurses sat at their stands discussing dishwashers and other none related things and passing off their duty to other nurses who actually were making their rounds. There was a patient who clearly denied a form of care and instead, they got 4 nurses and security to force the care upon her and everyone in the ER listen to this lady scream , ouch I don't want that, get off of me" and other things. Giggly disappointing to say the least for a hospital.

I am completely TERRIFIED! Reading these reviews. I am considering canceling my surgery and waiting for a different hospital. Consider how ppl feel when reading your reviews Alvarado! How can someone feel comfortable coming in to have surgery at your facility let alone an emergency. 😲😲😲 Well I'm still here!3/14 Praise God! I changed my stars because of 1 amazing doctor and 4 outstanding nurses. Dr. Wittgrove you're Outstanding! One of the prep nurses I talked her ear off because I was nervous, but she let me with a smile! Night nurse George kudos to you 👏🏾 outstanding! Yes! I heard every single time you entered my room! Thank you for your kindness and taking such good care of me. I know it's your job but not everyone puts their heart in it!You're an ANGEL! God bless you! Morning nurse Suntia and Sarah thank you for taking such good care of me.

I would like to take the time to thanks the wonderful doctor, nurses and ER tech who took such excellent care of me, I came to the hospital not feeling well and scared, the charge nurse immediately escorted me to a bed, I was shown so much kindness and reassurance, Dr Kilian nurse Lexi and ER tech Anaissa took great care of me. I was treated with such great service, Laura the secretary came and made sure I had my call light, even the admission rep Jessie B went over all my billing information I felt comfortable and well cared for, I was d/c and felt so much better. Thank you so much Alvarado hospital ER staff. Thanks for all the hard work you all do!

ER is professional, respectful and timely at each visit. I feel as of November 2021, Alverado ER is clearly under staffed! I observed each person is doing the work of 2-3. This is rediculous here in San Diego county, where thousands need a job today! I still give this ER five stars. The staff is friendly, respectful, overworked, kind and professional. My hope is immediate new hires or rehires
