Huge queues in which you will spend at least 15 minutes, there are no price tags for half of the goods, the rudeness of the store employees, there is almost always one person in the culinary department and you have to wait a very long time until you can order something, very often the food from this department is undercooked, undercooked, not fresh and just not edible and have a disgusting smell, I do not advise.

I like this Gelsons a lot. Of course, it's painfully expensive - check out the packs of watermelon chunks for 15 bucks when a whole watermelon is 3. But they have great produce, the best berries around, the best shitake mushrooms in the city. But there are a few odd things here. Really small liquor/wine section. And every time we have tried the chicken breasts, they have this weird ropy fibrous texture that is just awful. Whereas like, Pavilions and Ralph's chicken is just normal. So we don't buy their poultry.

Amazing location. Truly the best customer service. There are such amazing associates at this location. Friendly, helpful, kind, caring, I won’t go to any other location. When you shop here regularly or not you’re treated like family

I get at least one flyer a week in my mailbox from Gelson’s, and every time I go there I am strongly reminded that the people who run that store never actually shop at that store. The hot bar and deli is always packed with people getting randomly picked despite having numbered turns. And then you finally pick up your food, pay at the register, and ask for a plastic knife, they tell you “sorry we don’t have plastic knives here”. What about salt and pepper? No sorry. You need to go back to the deli. What about napkins? Here (the cashier pulls up an almost-empty roll or kitchen towels for me to cut several sheets from). Paying $16 for a handful of salad and 3 slices of turkey, I expected at least some utensils available to eat it with. A store should be thinking about the customer experience. That’s where Whole Foods excels and Gelson’s fails. Most gas stations are way more prepared for customers than this place. I would highly recommend reducing the marketing budget by a few hundred dollars to buy some plastic knives and salt and pepper for the patrons that you already spent millions of dollars to acquire, only to lose on the next visit.

Yes, they actually do.
They wipe down after customers, wear masks and gloves and have protective barriers.
Not at the service deli, but maybe at the bakery.
