I've lived in OC my whole life and never thought to try coming here because of the proximity to the road and train tracks but to be honest those things didn't really bother too much and it was nice to be that close to the beach. We are definitely making this an annual trip!

Perfect weather here not to crowded or dirty. Seeing some people surfing not to many fishing. Life guards and places for camping and bonfires. Just be careful for rocks out there.

Campers beware ... Our e-bike was stolen from the middle of our campsite on night #1. The lock was cut and bike taken despite being locked to our bike trailer, stroller and more. Park Ranger and OC sheriff stated that this has become a more common occurrence and that campsites are frequently targeted especially those at sites closer to the train tracks so that the train noise covers up the sound of them stealing. I wish the park would have warned us and other campers to be extra careful with certain belongings. I feel stupid to admit that we thought it was a family friendly area and that our bike would be there in the morning. Other campers had their bikes locked similarly to ours and even more easily seen while walking around the campground.

Very convenient campground to stay at for RV or car camping. I wouldn’t recommend for tent camping. Mostly Due to noise and light pollution in the general area. I had two nights booked and I don’t think I slept a solid hour the first night because the hosts were not enforcing the quiet hours PLUS there’s a loud train that goes parallel to the CG all night long. Even with ear plugs in, everything was so loud. Our site felt small and it didn’t help that the neighboring site was practically set up in our site which forced us to set up our tent closer to the bathroom. The hosts did not care and did not ask them to move at all. They continued to walk through our site all night long adding to our frustration. I did not even go back to camp for our second night because I was so disappointed. I recommend the state installs some measures at the restrooms to reduce noise. Padded strips on doors to soften the slamming of doors. Do not have LED lights shining outwardly at the restrooms all night long. Also, it’s 2022 please get rid of your metal Oscar the grouch style trash cans in which people also slammed all night Long. If you’re not willing to make improvements then at least reduce the price of these mediocre tent sites. I also recommend that some park rangers or fee attendants support the hosts. They seem overwhelmed and I was shocked to learn the fee attendants go home at 3pm leaving the CG plus park a free for all. I saw dogs on the beach despite the signage, generator usage after quiet hours, and encroachment issues with our neighboring site that went ignored.

If your camping over night they give you the door code for the restrooms and showers
I'd like to say $15.00 a day I do go there often... same price for day use and over night....
If you are asking specifically about the campsites yes, each spot has a concrete picnic table. Also a fire pit with a bbq grill.
I am not sure if we are at the moment. Sorry.
Place is terrible, I would stay away
My family and I really enjoyed spaces 111 and 112 as there are steps away from the beach and right next to the bathroom. One thing I will say is there is no free water so the showers for rinsing off don't work, otherwise totally worth it!
Yes, south of the jetty, ie river mouth is best.
WiFi signals? Interesting how drastic things have changed over the decades. People took advantage of places like this to "Get away" from daily life's conundrum's, now all We see are people walking around with their "Device's" glued to their faces. What a friggen mess!.🙈
